Why it stands out
The 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD is a standout choice among heavy-duty trucks due to its combination of rugged performance and upscale features, making it ideal for both work and daily driving. As a segment leader, it shares many technology and comfort features with lighter-duty models, like the Sierra 1500, while also elevating the driving experience with its spacious legroom and refined design. The truck's powerful engine options, including the popular Duramax diesel, enhance towing and hauling capabilities, appealing to those who need a reliable workhorse. While its pricing can be higher than some competitors, the trade-off comes in the form of improved comfort and technology, such as advanced infotainment systems that are often lacking in rival models. Nonetheless, potential buyers should remain aware of repeated concerns regarding rust issues, especially on older models, to ensure a safe and satisfactory purchase.

Entire undercarriage is covered in rust. All control arms and linkages are in extremely poor condition from rust to the point I wouldn’t feel safe driving it. Let alone using it for its intended purpose for heavy duty towing.
