Is the 2018 Buick LaCrosse a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for the 2018 Buick LaCrosse, and the overview backs up why it appeals to you if you want a large, quiet sedan with a more upscale feel. It emphasizes a roomy cabin, a plush ride, and a traditional luxury atmosphere, while also noting useful features like a larger trunk, a bigger back seat, ventilated front seats, and a head-up display. If you want a relaxed, comfort-first used sedan rather than something flashy or sporty, this model year fits that use case well. 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 Buick LaCrosse reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview points to a car built around comfort and upscale everyday use, with a quiet ride and a well-equipped cabin. It also notes some tradeoffs, including flimsy interior plastics and a high original price, so you should expect a used example to reward careful condition checking. For long-term ownership, your biggest risk is buying a neglected car with interior wear or deferred maintenance rather than a fundamentally flawed sedan.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Buick LaCrosse?

At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any reported damage affected structural areas, airbags, or major body panels. Then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to interior condition, electronics, and signs of poor repair quality. Because this model was positioned as a comfort-focused sedan, you want to make sure the cabin, ride quality, and feature set still feel as refined as the listing suggests.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Buick LaCrosse?

If you find a listing below $15,603, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Buick LaCrosse's resale value?

The current average of $16,109 sits slightly below last year's $17,291.

That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For a future seller, that also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should hold up better than average because shoppers in this segment tend to reward comfort, features, and a premium-feeling cabin.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Buick LaCrosse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 31.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.83% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $15,120, the 2017 costs less than the current year's $16,109 average.
• It offers a redesigned, more premium-feeling take on the LaCrosse.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2018 if you want the stronger current-market mix of value, satisfaction, and available inventory. If your priority is saving money upfront, the 2017 is the better secondary path, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
