How much does the 2018 BMW M3 cost?

Prices are up 5.62% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 168 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2018 BMW M3 a good car?

Yes — the 2018 BMW M3 earns a 4.8/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Reviewers consistently praise its power, comfort, and refined interior, and many also like the smooth ride and numerous tech features. For you, that means this is a compelling choice if you want a high-performance sedan that still works as an everyday car with seating for five and a usable trunk. With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2018 BMW M3 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a car that many owners find dependable and trouble-free in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort and overall ownership experience. That said, used buyers should still plan for the possibility of higher long-term ownership costs, so a careful pre-purchase inspection matters.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 BMW M3?

At 60.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on bodywork, alignment, and signs of inconsistent panel fit or paint, since those can reveal past accident repairs. It also makes sense to focus on overall condition and maintenance records, because a performance sedan like this can be expensive to buy, maintain, and fix.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 BMW M3?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 168 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.62% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 60.1% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $50,925, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 BMW M3's resale value?

The current average of $55,004 sits slightly above last year's $52,078.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which can help support resale value if you buy well and keep the car in strong condition. Because demand is still present and the car has a loyal enthusiast following, a clean example with good records should remain easier to sell than a neglected one. Strong condition and documented maintenance will matter a lot if you want to protect your return later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 BMW M3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 5.62% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of performance, everyday usability, and current market support, the 2018 is a strong primary choice. If you are more price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-documented example rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
