Is the 2018 Audi A7 a good car?

Yes — the 4.5/5 user rating points to strong shopper satisfaction for this model year. The 2018 A7 stands out as a luxury fastback that blends sporty styling with four-door practicality, and its hatchback rear end gives you a more versatile cargo opening than a traditional trunk. It also offers standard all-wheel drive and an upscale cabin, which makes it appealing if you want a premium used car with everyday usability. The sloping roofline does reduce rear-seat space, so it fits you best if style, comfort, and cargo flexibility matter more than maximizing back-seat room.

36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance to find a competitive offer.

Is the 2018 Audi A7 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2018 A7 benefits from the first generation’s later updates, including the mid-cycle refresh that brought a wider grille, revised front and rear styling, updated LED lighting, a newer MMI system, and 4G LTE in-cabin internet connectivity. That combination suggests a well-developed version of the model with mature tech and a more polished ownership experience. Even so, you should still plan for the higher maintenance expectations that come with a premium used luxury car.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Audi A7?

At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on bodywork quality, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear or repair. Because this is a luxury fastback, you should also pay close attention to overall condition, since cosmetic and mechanical upkeep can affect both ownership costs and resale appeal.

What is the 2018 Audi A7's resale value?

The current average of $22,439 sits slightly below last year's $24,679.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can work against you if you plan to sell soon. On the other hand, it may help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. If you keep the car in strong condition and maintain it well, you can improve your odds of holding value better than a neglected example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 36.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 68.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the last year of the first-generation A7 with its later updates, the 2018 is the cleanest choice to target. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may want to compare nearby model years and focus on whichever one gives you the best combination of condition, history, and asking price rather than chasing the newest badge alone.
