Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Audi A3?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and deal activity to reward careful shopping.

• Deal availability: 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 305 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.61% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,355, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Audi A3's resale value?

The current average of $15,021 sits slightly below last year's $15,583.

That softer pricing can help you buy at a more favorable entry point, but it also means future resale gains may be limited if the market stays steady. If you plan to sell later, buying well below the current average gives you more room to preserve value.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Audi A3 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.61% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2018 is a sensible choice if you want a year with softer pricing and enough listings to shop selectively. If your priority is stretching your budget, this model year deserves a close look; if you want the broadest set of clean-history options, you may want to compare it with nearby years before deciding.
