How much does the 2018 Acura MDX cost?

Prices have softened 6.62% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,114 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the comfort, features, and smooth driving experience, and they also highlight the spacious interior and advanced technology. That fits well if you want a three-row luxury SUV that works as a family hauler with a practical third row and a well-equipped cabin. With 38.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a meaningful chance to find attractive pricing.

Is the 2018 Acura MDX reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with praise for the MDX’s smooth driving character and overall quality. That kind of long-term confidence matters if you want a used luxury SUV you can count on for everyday use. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s reputation and more about finding one with clean maintenance history and consistent care.

What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Acura MDX?

At 62.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on overall condition, signs of past repairs, and whether the cabin and technology features still work as expected.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2018 Acura MDX?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,114 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 62.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,115, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2018 Acura MDX's resale value?

The current average of $19,240 sits slightly below last year's $20,603.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the MDX easier to buy now but may also limit near-term upside for a future seller. If you plan to resell later, condition and mileage will matter even more because the broader price trend is already softening. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it is time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2018 Acura MDX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2018 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 62.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 6.62% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2019 if:

• At $21,265, the 2019 costs more than the current year's $19,240 average.
• It offers a more refined, proven feel with steady improvement.

The bottom line: The 2018 is the better primary choice if you want stronger value and more room to negotiate. If you can stretch your budget and want the newer-year alternative, the 2019 is the secondary path to consider.
