How much does the 2017 Volvo S60 cost?

Is the 2017 Volvo S60 a good car?

Yes — 4.5/5 is a strong user rating for a compact luxury sedan that emphasizes safety, comfort, and understated style. The cabin is described as well executed, with high-quality materials, logical controls, and a premium feel, while the front seats are a standout strength. It is best suited to you if you want a refined daily driver rather than a sporty alternative, and the rear seat is tighter than some rivals. 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Volvo S60 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The model’s appeal centers on safety, comfort, and a thoughtfully built cabin, all of which support confidence in everyday use. Standard safety equipment is a major strength, and the car’s overall character is more about steady refinement than complexity for its own sake. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is finding a well-kept example, since condition and maintenance history will matter more than chasing the lowest price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Volvo S60?

At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body panels, paint match, alignment, and signs of uneven wear, since those can reveal past collision work. You should also focus on cabin condition and seat wear, because the interior is one of this model’s biggest strengths and should still feel well preserved.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Volvo S60?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 253 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.97% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,005, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $12,005 sits slightly below last year's $12,767.

That price movement suggests the model has softened, which can help you as a buyer but may limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition so you can protect value against further market drift. A clean history and good maintenance records matter more when the market is already trending lower.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.97% compared with last year.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want the strongest mix of value, safety-focused luxury, and a well-regarded cabin. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2017 stands out as a sensible choice when you find a clean example with solid history and a competitive asking price.
