Is the 2017 Toyota Sienna a good car?

Yes — the 4.88/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise the spacious interior, comfort, and versatility, and those strengths line up well with its family-focused layout and flexible seating. You also get a practical minivan that works well when you need one vehicle for passengers, cargo, and everyday errands. With 31.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Toyota Sienna reliable?

Owners rate it 4.88/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

User feedback highlights reliability alongside comfort and spaciousness, and many owners describe it as a dependable family vehicle. That said, you should still treat this as a used-minivan purchase where condition matters, because long-term ownership risk can rise quickly if maintenance history is weak or known problem areas were ignored.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Toyota Sienna?

At 53.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, doors, and any signs of prior repair. Focus on overall condition and how the vehicle drives, since a careful test drive can help you spot issues that matter more than mileage alone. If possible, pay extra attention to anything that suggests past collision damage or uneven wear.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Toyota Sienna?

This looks like a moderate market where selective shoppers can still find value if they compare listings carefully.

• Deal availability: 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,150 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 53.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,594, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Toyota Sienna's resale value?

The current average of $19,442 sits slightly below last year's $19,765.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more carefully now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition so you preserve as much value as possible. A well-kept example should still appeal to family buyers who want space, comfort, and practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.88/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Toyota Sienna or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 53.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.88/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $17,488, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $19,442 average.
• It adds Siri Eyes Free for iPhone users.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $21,908, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $19,442 average.
• It adds all-wheel drive for buyers who need extra traction.

The bottom line: The 2017 is the better primary pick if you want a well-liked, practical minivan and can shop carefully for condition. If price is your top priority, the 2016 is the smarter secondary path, while the 2018 makes sense only if you specifically want the added capability and are willing to pay more.
