Used 2017 Subaru BRZ for Sale nearSaint Paul, MN

How much does the 2017 Subaru BRZ cost?

Prices have softened 4.80% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 119 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Subaru BRZ a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the BRZ’s overview makes clear why: it is a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive sports coupe that emphasizes balance and driver involvement over outright speed. You also get a refreshed first-generation model with slightly more power, revised gearing, and updated styling, plus usable everyday equipment and available manual or automatic transmissions. For you, that means the BRZ makes the most sense if you want an engaging, back-to-basics sports car rather than a practical commuter or a straight-line performance machine.

29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2017 Subaru BRZ reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview presents the BRZ as a focused, mechanically simple sports coupe with a clear mission: balance, driver involvement, and everyday usability. Its appeal comes from the chassis, transmission choices, and refreshed hardware rather than from complex features or high-output performance. For used buyers, that kind of straightforward formula can be appealing, but you should still expect sports-car ownership tradeoffs and inspect carefully for wear tied to enthusiastic driving.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Subaru BRZ?

At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection from a trusted mechanic. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, suspension wear, tire condition, and any evidence that the car has been driven hard or modified. Because the BRZ is a driver-focused sports coupe, condition matters more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Subaru BRZ?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 119 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.80% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 58.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,846, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Subaru BRZ's resale value?

The current average of $19,035 sits slightly below last year's $19,995.

That price movement suggests the BRZ has softened enough to create a more approachable entry point for buyers, but it also means future sellers may need to price carefully to stay competitive. Because the model appeals to a specific enthusiast audience, resale strength will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. A clean, well-kept example should still attract attention, especially if it presents as a desirable manual-transmission sports coupe.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Subaru BRZ or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 58% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 4.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the BRZ formula at a relatively favorable price point, the 2017 is a strong choice because it combines a lower average price with solid owner satisfaction and a decent share of deal-priced listings. If you are especially price-sensitive, you can also shop nearby years and compare condition closely, but the 2017 remains a sensible target when you want the refreshed first-generation BRZ experience without paying top dollar.
