Used 2017 Porsche 911 for Sale nearBirmingham, AL

How much does the 2017 Porsche 911 cost?

Prices are up 2.98% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 560 listings available, which gives you a meaningful but not oversized pool to compare.

Is the 2017 Porsche 911 a good car?

Yes — the 4.7/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the 911’s power, road handling, luxury feel, and striking looks, while also calling out its excellent fit and finish. That lines up well with the 911’s role as a sports car that can still work as a comfortable touring car or a more focused performance machine. With 29.1% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Porsche 911 reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback also points to a dependable ownership experience, with owners highlighting the car’s strong performance and fit and finish alongside its overall appeal. For used buyers, that suggests the bigger long-term risk is less about day-to-day enjoyment and more about the cost of keeping a high-end sports car in top condition over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Porsche 911?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should prioritize a history report first, then focus on a pre-purchase inspection that checks for signs of prior damage, uneven wear, or deferred maintenance. Because this model is expensive to buy and expensive to maintain, condition matters a lot more than simply finding the lowest sticker price. Pay close attention to how the car was driven and cared for, especially if you’re considering one of the more performance-oriented examples.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Porsche 911?

Act selectively: this is still a seller’s market, so the best move is to compare listings carefully and be ready when a strong one appears.

• Deal availability: 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 560 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.98% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 82.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $113,587, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Porsche 911's resale value?

The current average of $120,643 sits slightly above last year's $117,151.

That kind of upward movement suggests the market is still willing to pay for a well-kept example, especially when supply is limited and demand remains steady. For a future seller, that means condition and documentation should matter a lot: the better your car presents, the easier it should be to attract serious buyers. The 911’s strong reputation and broad appeal help support pricing power over time.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Porsche 911 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 82.3% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.98% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong pick if you want the turbo-era 911 with solid owner satisfaction and a market that still supports demand. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may make sense if you can find a cleaner example or a better deal, but the 2017 remains the safer choice when you want the newer powertrain era and broad appeal.
