There are 1,262 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2017 Nissan Murano a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Nissan Murano earns a 4.7/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Drivers consistently praise its luxurious feel, numerous features, and stylish design, and many also appreciate the comfort and power, especially in higher trims. For you, that makes it a good fit if you want a comfort-focused midsize SUV with a premium feel rather than a rugged utility-first setup. The market also shows 32.2% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Nissan Murano reliable?

Owners rate it 4.7/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Drivers’ feedback also points to a vehicle that many owners feel good about living with over time, with praise centered on comfort, features, and the overall driving experience. At the same time, some owners mention reliability concerns, so you should treat condition and maintenance history as important parts of the buying decision. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is best managed by choosing a well-documented example.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Nissan Murano?

At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus your condition check on signs of past repairs, uneven wear, and anything that suggests the vehicle’s comfort-oriented appeal may be hiding deferred maintenance.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Nissan Murano?

This is a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,262 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.93% compared with last year.

If you find a listing below $12,756, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Nissan Murano's resale value?

The current average of $12,760 sits slightly below last year's $14,488.

That price movement suggests the Murano has softened in the used market, which can limit short-term upside if you plan to sell soon. If you buy at the right price, though, you may be able to reduce the impact of future depreciation by starting from a lower entry point. Strong owner satisfaction can help support demand when it’s time to resell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.7/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Nissan Murano or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 63.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.93% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $11,533, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $12,760 average.
• It emphasizes bold styling, but the rest of the vehicle feels less modern.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2017 if you want the stronger overall ownership appeal and are shopping for a comfort-focused crossover with broad market availability. If your priority is spending less up front, the 2016 is the better value-oriented path, especially if you’re willing to trade some refinement for a lower purchase price.
