Why it stands out
The 2017 Nissan Maxima represents the culmination of Nissan's long-standing commitment to blending luxury with performance, often referred to as a “four-door sports car.” First launched in 1981, this flagship sedan has evolved through generations to deliver a powerful and well-equipped driving experience. Among its contemporary offerings, the 2017 model boasts a stylish exterior that appeals to both sport enthusiasts and luxury seekers. Notably, it features a robust 3.5-liter V6 engine that generates 300 horsepower, coupled with a continuously variable transmission (CVT) for smooth acceleration. Owners praise its performance, handling, and a well-crafted interior loaded with technology, although some express that recent models can feel slightly overpriced. The reputation for this model is further solidified by its positive user reviews and a considerable percentage of listings that are accident-free, making it a commendable choice in the used sedan market.

My 2017 Nissan Maxima SL is the perfect car for me. Coming from a 2008 Infiniti G37 coupe, I still wanted a vehicle that would accommodate both the sports car and practicality. The features are very similar to my G37 but with some update safety and convenience features. My kids love the panoramic sunroof and I love the performance, while my wife loves the extra space. Though I had a look at all the trim levels, the SL got me the best value. The one thing I would say that I would love to experience would be AWD. Other that I love my “new” car!
