## Why it stands out
The 2017 Lexus GX is a compelling choice for buyers looking for a luxury SUV that combines off-road capabilities with comfort and a high-quality interior. Derived from the durable Toyota 4Runner, the GX stands out due to its impressive reliability and rugged performance in off-road conditions, making it particularly appealing to adventure seekers who do not want to sacrifice luxury. Its plush cabin is adorned with premium materials, established reliability reputation, and ample passenger space, particularly in the first two rows.
However, potential buyers should note that while it excels off-road, the GX does compromise on-road comfort and handling compared to other luxury SUVs, which may deter those who do not plan on venturing off the beaten path. The infotainment system in the 2017 model feels somewhat dated, which might be a drawback for tech-savvy users. Overall, the 2017 Lexus GX is an excellent option for those prioritizing durability and luxury, particularly if their lifestyle involves outdoor excursions.

(12 reviews)Smoothest SUV Ive ever driven. Its a bit heavy bc of the v8 and build quality, but doesnt feel as heavy as a bmw, gmc, or ford medium/large suv. Maybe the tightest build Ive ever felt of any vehicle. Everything clicks, opens, or closes exactly how it should. Its like the feeling of haptic feedback on a smart phone. It just feels like the right response. Personally, I prefer body on frame (truck) suvs. It feels better than our mid sized crossover suv. Gas is not the greatest, but its not the worst either (I used to drive big v8 fords and gm trucks). I appreciate the size bc there is minimum body roll and its just spacious enough. Its such a comfortable drive that I actually like getting stuck in traffic, which is also why I would never mod this vehicle and just keep it stock. Its pristine. A lot of people complain about the navigation system bc of the lack of carplay, but I may be one of the few ppl that found carplay annoying. Id rather have this system. This is a premium ride thats well built, dependable, smooth, and so comfortable. Highly recommended.
Love this GX460 model over the LX570, which is an awesome vehicle, for a few reasons. 3rd row seating is better for tucking away. Didnt need the passenger row seating video screens. The 570 feels stout as a tank but the 460 feels like a more manageable vehicle in parking lots. Both are supreme and super quiet however. And the clincher for my choice was the 460 aftermarket kit is a aila le for camping in, as well as the frosting on the dessert is the Mark Levinson sound system on this Luxury model. Engine takes 8 quarts of oil! Bullet proof lubrication. Transmission shifts beautifully. Any money saved on many better mpg vehicles is lost with maintenance and repair costs. Love this vehicle!
Very quiet engine and stylish with a lot of features and options. Very comfortable driving!
It is a luxury Toyota FourRunner. It is ready for off-roading with the down hill assist feature. It has many great safety features which I need as an older driver!
Seems to be what I’m looking for. Price needs to improve.
