How much does the 2017 Lexus GX cost?

There are 523 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2017 Lexus GX a good car?

Yes — the 2017 Lexus GX earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury feel, off-road capability, and spaciousness, and they also highlight its comfortable, smooth ride and robust nature. For you, that makes it a strong fit if you want a premium SUV that can handle rougher terrain while still feeling upscale in daily use. The market also shows 35.0% of listings as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Lexus GX reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The review summary also points to a reliable and robust nature, along with a reputation for durability. That combination matters if you want a used SUV you can count on for long-term ownership rather than a short-term bargain. For used buyers, the main risk is less about the model’s core durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated avoidable wear.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Lexus GX?

At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can confirm accident records, title status, and ownership history before you get too far into the process. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, with extra attention to body condition, signs of prior repair, and how the cabin and mechanical systems have aged. Because this model is often chosen for capability and long-term use, condition matters as much as mileage when you compare listings.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Lexus GX?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 523 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $25,809, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Lexus GX's resale value?

The current average of $26,323 sits slightly below last year's $26,972.

That tells you the market has eased a bit, which can help you as a buyer but may temper what you can expect as a seller in the near term. Even so, the GX’s reputation for durability and its niche appeal can help support demand if your vehicle is well kept and properly documented. If you maintain it carefully and keep service records, you’re in a better position to protect value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Lexus GX or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 35.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want a rugged luxury SUV with strong owner approval and a market that still offers some deal opportunities, the 2017 is a sensible primary choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years to see whether a lower-mileage or better-documented example gives you more value for the money.
