Used 2017 Hyundai Veloster for Sale nearHarrisburg, PA

How much does the 2017 Hyundai Veloster cost?

Prices have softened 10.08% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 253 listings available, which gives you a modest pool to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Hyundai Veloster a good car?

Yes — 5/5 is a strong user rating for this model year, and the Veloster’s unusual three-door layout, hatchback-style cargo space, and fun-first personality help explain why it stands out. It also comes with a long list of standard equipment for a car that originally cost less than $20,000, including a touchscreen, cruise control, power windows, and a six-speaker audio system. If you want something practical enough for daily use but still distinctive, this model year fits that brief well. 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2017 Hyundai Veloster reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The Veloster’s appeal comes from its practical hatchback body, generous cargo space, and straightforward equipment list, which can make ownership feel easy and familiar. Its compact, front-wheel-drive layout also keeps the formula simple.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is finding a car that has been used hard or neglected, so condition and maintenance history matter more than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Hyundai Veloster?

At 51% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on every candidate and prioritize cars with clean records and consistent maintenance. A pre-purchase inspection is worth it, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with visible cosmetic wear. Focus on overall condition, because the Veloster’s value depends heavily on how well the body, interior, and mechanicals have been preserved.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Hyundai Veloster?

This is a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 253 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.08% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,364, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Hyundai Veloster's resale value?

The current average of $8,466 sits slightly below last year's $9,415.

That kind of price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable point if you plan to keep the car for a while. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and documentation than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples should still attract attention because the Veloster’s distinctive design gives it a niche appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Hyundai Veloster or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 38.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.08% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the Veloster’s distinctive styling, practical hatchback layout, and strong value proposition, the 2017 is a solid primary choice. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-equipped example offers more value for the money.
