Used 2017 Hyundai Veloster for Sale nearCharlotte, NC

How much does the 2017 Hyundai Veloster cost?

Prices have softened 8.37% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 239 listings available, which gives you a reasonable amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2017 Hyundai Veloster a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2017 Hyundai Veloster stands out because it blends a hatchback’s practicality with a distinctly unconventional three-door layout, and Hyundai also highlights generous cargo space. That makes it a fit if you want something practical but different from a conventional compact car, especially since it was offered with a long list of features for the money. The market also shows 33.1% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests there are still attractive opportunities if you shop carefully.

Is the 2017 Hyundai Veloster reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. Hyundai describes the 2017 Veloster as a practical hatchback with a distinctive layout and a feature-rich value proposition, which can make it appealing as a used buy if you want something that feels more special than a typical commuter car. Its equipment list also includes convenience and security features that add everyday usefulness.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is making sure the specific car you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t accumulated hidden wear from prior use.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Hyundai Veloster?

At 51.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough inspection of body panels, alignment, and interior condition, since those areas can reveal whether a car has been repaired well or simply patched up. Because the Veloster’s appeal depends heavily on getting a good example, condition should matter as much as price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Hyundai Veloster?

This is a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep buyer’s market.

• Deal availability: 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 239 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.37% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,521, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Hyundai Veloster's resale value?

The current average of $8,568 sits slightly below last year's $9,350.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means you should expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. If you buy carefully now, you may be better positioned to limit depreciation later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Hyundai Veloster or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 33.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.37% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

If you want the strongest mix of value, distinctive design, and broad market availability, the 2017 is the better primary target. You get a model year with softened pricing, a meaningful share of deal-priced listings, and enough inventory to compare options without rushing. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also widen your search to nearby years, but the 2017 is the one to focus on first when you want a balance of affordability and appeal.
