Why it stands out
The 2017 GMC Terrain distinguishes itself in the compact SUV segment by offering a roomy cabin and a comfortable driving experience, appealing to families and those prioritizing comfort. While it shares much of its underpinning with the Chevrolet Equinox, the Terrain's angular design and emphasis on ruggedness set it apart, making it visually distinct and ready for mild off-road adventures. The 2017 model continues to receive praise for its quiet interior and smooth handling; however, it does face some criticism regarding its engine power and limited luxury features, which may deter performance enthusiasts. This balance of comfort and practicality, combined with a generally solid reliability record, makes the 2017 GMC Terrain a compelling option for those in the market for a used compact SUV.

Vehicle has numerous extras. Appointments are well presented. Ride is very comfortable and enjoyable. Denali models have a vast difference over standard models. Add features and sound insulation make for a much smoother and comfortable ride.

The terrain is a great looking suv and a good value. I have only driven it about 200 miles but it is fun to drive with a sporty feel

The ride was much better than I thought it would be. Cabin was very quiet and spacious. The control layouts were simplistic by todays standards but easy to use. The two drawbacks for what I am looking for is a relatively low ground clearance (6.9) and the 2.4L four cylinder is sluggish when accelerating to get up to speed.
