Used 2017 Chevrolet Traverse for Sale nearColorado Springs, CO

How much does the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse cost?

Prices have softened 12.63% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,858 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse a good car?

Yes — the 4.8/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its space, comfort, and style, and many also like the powerful performance and available all-wheel drive. That fits the Traverse’s role as a family-focused three-row crossover with a huge cabin, usable third row, and minivan-like cargo capacity. With 29.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owners describe it as dependable for everyday family use, with feedback that highlights comfort and a trouble-free ownership experience for many drivers. The strongest reliability takeaway is that satisfied owners tend to keep recommending it over time, which matters when you’re shopping used. For long-term ownership, you should still be selective, because a used example with uneven maintenance history can carry more risk than the rating alone suggests.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Chevrolet Traverse?

At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, alignment, and signs of inconsistent panel gaps or paint work. Because this model year is known for family-duty use, focus on wear items that reflect heavy daily use, especially if you plan to keep it for the long haul.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Chevrolet Traverse?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find value.

• Deal availability: 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,858 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 60.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,031, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $10,031 sits slightly below last year's $11,482.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to resell later, the current softness means your upside may depend more on condition, mileage, and maintenance history than on broad market appreciation. Well-kept examples should still hold appeal because shoppers in this segment value space and practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 29.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 60.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.63% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2018 if:

• At $15,130, the 2018 costs more than the current year's $10,031 average.
• It brings a larger, more useful, and more efficient redesign.

The bottom line: If you want the lower purchase price and are willing to inspect carefully, the 2017 is the better value play. If you’d rather pay more for the redesigned package and can stretch your budget, the 2018 is the stronger upgrade path.
