What should I look for when buying a used 2023 Chevrolet Traverse?

Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.

You should start with a vehicle history report to confirm accident status, title history, and maintenance patterns. Then prioritize a thorough inspection of the cabin, electronics, and overall condition, since this model’s appeal depends heavily on family usability and feature functionality. It’s also smart to test the third row, climate controls, and infotainment system so you know the vehicle still delivers the space-and-comfort experience you expect.

• Inventory: There are 6,294 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.14% compared with last year.

What is the 2023 Chevrolet Traverse's resale value?

The current average of $29,482 sits slightly below last year's $32,810.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, the softer current pricing means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the vehicle has been maintained. Because this model has broad family appeal and strong owner satisfaction, it should continue to attract shoppers who want space and practicality.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2023 Chevrolet Traverse or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2023 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2023 if:

• 34.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Accident-free inventory is solid at 85.2% — always verify the vehicle history report.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2022 if:

• At $24,584, the 2022 costs less than the current year's $29,482 average.
• It offers practical space and easy-to-use tech.

Consider the 2024 if:

• At $37,822, the 2024 costs more than the current year's $29,482 average.
• It adds more space and a larger touchscreen.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, satisfaction, and available inventory, the 2023 is the strongest all-around pick. If your budget is tighter, the 2022 is the better value play, while the 2024 makes sense if you want the newer design and can justify the higher price.
