How much does the 2017 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 10.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 862 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Generally — with a user rating of 4.3/5, this model year lands as a strong choice for many shoppers. Owners most often praise its luxurious features, comfort, and standout style, and they also describe it as loaded with impressive amenities and good value. That fits the Escalade’s role as a large luxury SUV for you if you want a spacious, premium-feeling vehicle with a long list of equipment. With 31.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there is still meaningful shopping opportunity in the market.

Is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.3/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, especially when it comes to comfort and the overall ownership experience. At the same time, some owners mention maintenance costs that can rise after a few years, so you should plan for the possibility of higher upkeep on a used luxury SUV. For used buyers, that means the biggest long-term ownership risk is not just finding a clean example, but making sure the service history supports the asking price.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade?

At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large luxury SUV where repair costs can add up quickly. Focus on overall condition, maintenance records, and signs that the vehicle has been cared for consistently.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Cadillac Escalade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile opportunities.

• Deal availability: 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 862 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,924, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $23,924 sits slightly below last year's $26,842.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the vehicle in strong condition so you preserve as much value as possible. Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.3/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2017 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 31.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.3/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong choice if you want the newer-feeling update with a good mix of luxury, tech, and current market pricing. If your priority is stretching your budget further, a nearby year may offer a lower entry price, but the 2017 gives you a compelling balance of features and value.
