How much does the 2017 Audi A6 cost?

Is the 2017 Audi A6 a good car?

The 2017 Audi A6 is a balanced choice if you want a midsize luxury sedan that emphasizes refinement, comfort, and a premium feel over flash. It earns a 3.9/5 user rating, and owners commonly praise its stunning looks, comfortable ride, and high-quality electronics.

That lines up well with the A6’s use case as a quietly upscale daily driver with standard leather seats, a sunroof, memory seats, push-button start, and Bluetooth connectivity. If you want available tech such as adaptive cruise control, night vision assist, a head-up display, or a premium sound system, this model year gives you a lot to shop for.

With 32.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, there are still worthwhile opportunities if you compare carefully.

Is the 2017 Audi A6 reliable?

The 2017 Audi A6 stands out as a midsize luxury sedan that blends understated style with a strong premium feel. Owners often describe it as comfortable and high-quality, and some feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free experience when the car has been maintained well.

At the same time, owner feedback also mentions high maintenance costs and some performance issues, including engine leaks and handling concerns. For used buyers, that means long-term ownership risk is more about repair exposure and upkeep discipline than simple age alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2017 Audi A6?

At 59.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on mechanical condition, electronics, and signs of deferred maintenance.

Because this model can carry higher repair costs, you’ll want to pay close attention to service records, warning lights, and how the car drives under normal and stop-and-go conditions.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2017 Audi A6?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find attractive options if you know what to prioritize.

• Deal availability: 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 588 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 59.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $14,359, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2017 Audi A6's resale value?

The current average of $14,408 sits slightly below last year's $15,753.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. If you plan to sell later, the current pricing trend means your future resale value will depend heavily on mileage, condition, and maintenance history.

For a future seller, a well-kept A6 with strong records should hold up better than one with visible wear or repair history. In other words, the car’s resale story is likely to be driven more by individual condition than by broad market momentum.

Should I buy a 2017 Audi A6 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2017 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2017 if:

• 32.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 59.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 8.54% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2017 is a strong primary choice if you want the updated features and a lower used price than newer examples. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can also compare nearby years to see whether a cleaner or better-maintained example offers a better overall value.
