What is the 2016 Volvo S60's resale value?

The current average of $10,309 sits slightly below last year's $11,822.

That price movement suggests the model has already absorbed a meaningful amount of depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price today. A lower entry cost can reduce the amount of value left to lose over time, especially if you choose a well-kept car with strong equipment and clean history. Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Volvo S60 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.80% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $8,871, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $10,309 average.
• It feels fresher thanks to updated engines and styling.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger current-market balance of price, satisfaction, and availability, the 2016 is the better default choice. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2015 is the more budget-friendly path.
