Used 2016 Toyota Sequoia for Sale nearNew York, NY

How much does the 2016 Toyota Sequoia cost?

Prices have softened 7.09% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 223 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Toyota Sequoia a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction, and the Sequoia’s full-size, body-on-frame layout gives you truck-like toughness with three-row practicality. It was built for buyers who want space, towing strength, and a rugged character rather than crossover-style refinement. That makes it a fit if you value utility, durability, and a proven mechanical setup. There are 31.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Toyota Sequoia reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The overview describes this Sequoia as a reliable family hauler with tried-and-true components, dependable powertrains, and long-running value retention. It also emphasizes the model’s proven mechanical setup and rugged construction, which are the kinds of traits many used buyers look for in a long-term SUV. For used ownership, that usually means you should focus less on novelty and more on whether the vehicle has been maintained well over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Toyota Sequoia?

At 51.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection so you can confirm the condition matches the listing. Pay close attention to signs of prior body damage, uneven wear, and any evidence that the truck-like chassis or suspension has been worked hard. Because this is a large, older-school SUV, condition matters a lot more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Toyota Sequoia?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 223 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.09% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $23,346, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Toyota Sequoia's resale value?

The current average of $23,346 sits slightly below last year's $25,128.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also mean future resale gains are limited unless the vehicle is especially clean and well maintained. For a future seller, the key advantage is that the Sequoia still has a reputation for durability and utility, which helps keep demand steady among shoppers who want a full-size SUV with truck roots. A well-kept example should remain easier to move than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Toyota Sequoia or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 31.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.09% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the strongest mix of current pricing, owner satisfaction, and proven full-size SUV utility. If you’re more price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth considering, but the 2016 remains a solid target when you want a rugged, three-row SUV with a favorable market position.
