What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Toyota Avalon?

At 53.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any prior collision. Focus on body condition, repair quality, and whether the car drives straight and feels consistent at highway speeds. Because this model is valued for comfort and refinement, you’ll want to pay close attention to signs of wear that could affect ride quality or cabin feel.
