Why it stands out
The 2016 Nissan Frontier remains a competent choice in the midsize truck segment, appealing mainly for its robust V6 engine option, which offers 261 horsepower and a maximum towing capacity of 6,500 pounds. Although the Frontier has a somewhat dated platform compared to its rivals, it provides a nostalgic experience for those who appreciate traditional truck styling and functionality. The inside features comfortable seating, though some critiques highlight the need for more legroom and modern ergonomics. Among its advantages are standard features like a rear-view camera and Bluetooth, making it practical for daily use. However, potential buyers should be aware that competitors such as the Chevrolet Colorado and Toyota Tacoma outshine the Frontier in terms of advanced features and overall refinement.

This truck is replacing a 2000 Nissan frontier that I drove for over 260,000 miles. The newer model is much roomier and it handles great. I am a fan of Nissan quality.

Its got a powerful V-6 engine, and nice amenities inside the truck. The 2nd row of seats are a nice addition. Backwards camera, and Bluetooth are included in the SV model we looked at. The 5ft bed isnt bad, but limits how much stuff you can haul.

This is a truck. The V6 has plenty of power. The 4wd is capable and inspires confidence. The electrical/electronic items it does have are useful without being over-the-top. You still have to drive this vehicle, which is half the fun. The seats are comfortable though Nissan needs to do something to reinforce the seats on their door sides. I have seen many of them that wear and eventually rip where the driver slides in and out over the back corner of the seat. I feel like I get Japanese quality at an American-made price in this truck.

These trucks are very reliable and dont usually have many problems. When they do have problems it doesnt cost a fortune fix them.
