Used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC for Sale nearTrenton, NJ

How much does the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC cost?

Prices have softened 10.99% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 560 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC is positioned as a premium compact SUV that emphasizes comfort, refinement, and everyday usefulness, with a longer, sleeker shape that improves both style and practicality over the GLK. It also comes well equipped with features such as adaptive braking, a rear-view camera, a power tailgate, and electrically adjustable front seats.

That makes it a strong fit if you want a luxury SUV that prioritizes an easy daily driving experience over off-road toughness or sporty handling. With 34.5% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.

Is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC does not have a standout reliability reputation, and reported issues include suspension and electrical problems, along with piston and cylinder concerns on some GLC 300 models. That means you should treat maintenance history and pre-purchase inspection results as especially important.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a vehicle that needs expensive repairs if prior care was inconsistent.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report on any candidate and confirm whether accident damage was repaired properly. A thorough pre-purchase inspection should focus on suspension, electrical systems, and any signs of engine-related issues. Pay close attention to overall condition and maintenance records, since those details matter more when you are shopping a luxury SUV with known problem areas.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile options.

• Deal availability: 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 560 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.99% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $13,042, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC's resale value?

The current average of $13,050 sits slightly below last year's $14,662.

That price decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, mileage, and service history rather than broad market momentum alone. If you keep the vehicle well maintained and present it cleanly, you can help offset some of the pressure from the softer pricing trend.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Mercedes-Benz GLC or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 34.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 10.99% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2017 if:

• At $15,460, the 2017 costs more than the current year's $13,050 average.
• It adds a more performance-focused AMG GLC 43 personality for buyers who want harder-edged driving.

The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2016 is the primary path because it combines lower pricing with strong satisfaction and decent deal availability. If you are willing to spend more for a newer model-year alternative, the 2017 is the secondary path, especially if you want a more performance-oriented version.
