Used 2016 Hyundai Veloster for Sale nearDallas, TX

How much does the 2016 Hyundai Veloster cost?

Prices have softened 7.14% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 306 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Veloster a good car?

Yes — 4.71/5 is a strong user rating, and the feedback points to a car that stands out for its sporty design, fun driving experience, and good fuel economy. Owners also consistently mention the unique third door as a practical advantage for rear-seat access, which fits the Veloster’s unusual hatchback layout. If you want a compact hatchback with a playful personality and useful cargo room, this model year lines up well with that use case. 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Hyundai Veloster reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also uses reliability-positive language, describing the car as reliable and dependable, with a performance profile that many drivers feel comfortable counting on over time. That said, used-car reliability always depends on how the specific example was maintained, so a careful inspection matters more than the badge alone. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is ending up with a car that has been neglected or driven hard, so condition and service history should guide your decision.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Hyundai Veloster?

At 51% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with accident records. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been modified, has higher mileage, or shows signs of uneven wear. Focus your condition check on the ride quality, interior wear, and overall maintenance history so you can avoid a car that looks good online but needs work soon after purchase.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Hyundai Veloster?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 306 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,163, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Hyundai Veloster's resale value?

The current average of $8,195 sits slightly below last year's $8,825.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled, which can make the car easier to buy now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key takeaway is that a lower entry price can help, but you should still expect resale value to depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. A clean, well-kept example should hold buyer interest better than one with visible wear or a rough history.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Hyundai Veloster or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 7.14% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a smart choice if you want the refreshed Veloster look, strong owner satisfaction, and a market that still offers some deal opportunities. If you are especially price-sensitive, a nearby year may be worth comparing, but the 2016 remains the better pick when you want a balance of value, personality, and buyer demand.
