Why it stands out
The 2016 Ford Escape remains a competitive option in the compact crossover market, blending agile handling with a choice of powerful engines. Its base model is outfitted with a 2.5-liter engine, while the EcoBoost options deliver faster acceleration and improved fuel economy, particularly with the standout 2.0-liter turbocharged engine which can propel the Escape to 60 mph in just 7 seconds. Additionally, the updated Sync 3 infotainment system marks a significant improvement over earlier versions, providing a more user-friendly interface. Inside, the Escape boasts comfortable seating and a respectable cargo area, perfect for everyday use despite some criticisms regarding interior ergonomics and functionality. Overall, the Escape's combination of performance, technology, and practicality makes it appealing to a wide range of buyers, although some may find its base features lacking compared to higher trims.

I love the zippy way this SUV drives. It also maneuvers well because of its compact size. Plenty of room inside to be comfortable. Fords issues with the CDT kept me from giving it 5 stars. Carfax revealed this part was replaced on the Escape that I purchased. So far no problems.
