Fast-forward to 8 years later, and it’s still the most authentic of the breed and has now far eclipsed the run of the original, if not the influence. For 2016, the Challenger returns from its best-selling year with some new trim and wheel options, plus a new shaker hood that speaks to its roots.

If you’re looking for a V8 5.7L Hemi but don’t want to spend $35-40k on a newer one, go for the 2016 if you can find one that’s been well maintained. Definitely worth it. Great and fun little bump up in power from my 2022 V6 SXT Challenger. It punches more and handles great. Interior is almost the same except for the dash is a harder plastic than the newer models and has a slightly rougher pattern to it. No carplay but installing that soon. Besides that you can’t tell the difference between the 2016 and newer models.

The only feature missing on this Challenger is a power adjustable passenger seat. As an 8 year old vehicle, the depreciation makes this car a very good value. Other similar models are the Mustang and Camaro.
