How much does the 2016 Cadillac Escalade cost?

Prices have softened 9.53% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 839 listings available, which gives you a solid pool to compare prices and conditions.

Is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade a good car?

Generally — the 4.1/5 user rating points to a model that many owners feel good about living with. Reviewers repeatedly praise its luxurious features, comfortable ride, and strong performance, and they also highlight the high-quality interior and family-friendly space. That lines up well with the overview’s focus on comfort, technology, and a premium feel rather than purely utility. With 29.9% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade reliable?

Owners rate it 4.1/5, a solid signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback also points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable in day-to-day use, with praise for its comfortable, trouble-free driving experience and strong long-term appeal. The same reviews emphasize that maintenance and condition matter a lot, so a well-kept example is the safer bet for used buyers. For you, that means ownership risk is more about how the specific vehicle was cared for than the badge alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Cadillac Escalade?

At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put inspection priority on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of uneven wear, since cosmetic issues and maintenance history matter a lot on this model. A careful pre-purchase inspection is especially valuable if you want to avoid inheriting expensive repair surprises.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Cadillac Escalade?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop with some leverage if you stay disciplined.

• Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 839 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $21,551, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade's resale value?

The current average of $21,551 sits slightly below last year's $23,820.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future resale stability if you buy at the right number. If you pay close to the lower end of the range and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be better positioned when it’s time to sell. Demand should remain tied to the Escalade’s luxury image, space, and strong owner satisfaction.

Vehicles with solid owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.1/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Cadillac Escalade or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.1/5 — a solid satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2015 if:

• At $19,434, the 2015 costs less than the current year's $21,551 average.
• It emphasizes redesigned presence and strong desirability.

The bottom line: You should lean toward the 2016 if you want the stronger current-market balance of price, inventory, and owner satisfaction. If your priority is spending less upfront, the 2015 is the better value-focused alternative, especially if you find one in excellent condition.
