Used 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV for Sale nearGreenville, SC

How much does the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV cost?

Prices have softened 15.25% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 495 listings available, which gives you a meaningful pool to compare prices and equipment.

Is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise its luxury, comfort, and storage space, and they also highlight the smooth ride and strong mileage on long trips. That lines up well with the Escalade ESV’s role as a full-size luxury SUV built for carrying a large family and luggage without giving up an upscale feel. With 33.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding a competitive offer.

Is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The user feedback points to a vehicle that owners find comfortable, luxurious, and easy to live with over time, with particular praise for its smooth ride and long-trip usability. That said, the model’s ownership experience can still depend heavily on maintenance history and how the vehicle was used.

For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about day-to-day appeal and more about avoiding a poorly maintained example that could become expensive to own.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from ones with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially on a large luxury SUV where repair costs can add up quickly. Focus on overall condition, signs of wear, and whether the vehicle has been maintained consistently, since those factors matter more than mileage alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV?

This looks like a moderate buyer’s market, so you can be selective without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 495 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.25% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.6% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,837, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV's resale value?

The current average of $19,837 sits slightly below last year's $23,406.

That decline suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can make the vehicle more attractive to buyers now but less favorable for a future seller trying to maximize return. If you buy at the right price and keep the vehicle in strong condition, you may be able to soften some of that depreciation impact later. The key is to avoid overpaying today, because resale value is easier to protect when your purchase price starts low.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Cadillac Escalade ESV or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 15.25% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line:

The 2016 makes sense if you want the Escalade ESV’s big-cabin luxury, strong owner approval, and a market that has already moved lower on price. If your priority is getting the most value for your money, this year deserves a close look. If you are especially price-sensitive, you may also want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest one available.
