What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW 7 Series?

At 60.6% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. Focus your attention on overall condition, maintenance records, and how well the car’s technology and comfort features are working.

This looks like a moderate market where selective buyers can still find value if they move on the right car.

What is the 2016 BMW 7 Series's resale value?

The current average of $17,668 sits slightly below last year's $19,130.

That tells you the market has moved down, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy a clean, well-maintained example so you have the best chance of preserving value. Strong condition and desirable equipment matter more when a model has already softened in price.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW 7 Series or consider a different year?
