How much does the 2016 BMW 6 Series cost?

There are 190 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2016 BMW 6 Series a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. The 2016 BMW 6 Series blends style, performance, and luxury in a low-slung grand touring package, and it offers coupe, convertible, and four-door Gran Coupe body styles. It also brings a refreshed look and a modernized infotainment setup, which helps it feel more current than earlier versions while keeping its dramatic character. For you, that means this is a strong fit if you want a distinctive luxury car that emphasizes presence and driving enjoyment over everyday practicality. 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2016 BMW 6 Series reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The 2016 BMW 6 Series is described as comfortable and engaging, but it is also expensive to maintain, and the lineup includes more demanding powertrains that can raise ownership costs. That means reliability for a used buyer is less about simple, low-cost upkeep and more about finding a well-maintained example with a clean service history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 BMW 6 Series?

At 55.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Put a pre-purchase inspection at the top of your checklist, especially for suspension, electronics, and signs of deferred maintenance. Focus on overall condition and service records, since this model’s ownership costs make a well-kept example much more important than a bargain price alone.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 BMW 6 Series?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting every listing to be a standout deal.

• Deal availability: 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 190 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.3% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $19,094, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2016 BMW 6 Series's resale value?

The current average of $20,261 sits slightly below last year's $20,711.

That softer pricing suggests the model has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right price. If you choose a clean, well-documented example, you may have a better chance of holding value than if you start with a rougher car that needs immediate work. The market also tends to reward desirable luxury cars that still feel special, especially when they have strong owner satisfaction behind them.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 BMW 6 Series or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 33.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.3% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of modern features, strong owner satisfaction, and a softer used-market price, the 2016 is the primary year to target. If your main goal is to spend less upfront, you can also look at nearby years, but you should still prioritize condition, service history, and accident-free examples over the lowest sticker price.
