The 2016 Audi A7’s overview points to a well-equipped luxury model with standard all-wheel drive and a proven supercharged V6, which are encouraging signs for used buyers. Its main tradeoffs are more about packaging and price than obvious durability concerns, so your biggest ownership risk is likely tied to maintenance history and how well the car was cared for over time.

What should I look for when buying a used 2016 Audi A7?

At 65.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from cars with prior damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially for signs of uneven panel gaps, paint mismatch, or wear that doesn’t match the mileage. Focus on overall condition and documentation, since a luxury fastback like this can be a great buy when it has been maintained carefully.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2016 Audi A7?

This looks like a moderate market, so you can be selective without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 148 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.53% compared with last year.

What is the 2016 Audi A7's resale value?

The current average of $16,949 sits slightly below last year's $17,941.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, the key is to buy well and keep the car in strong condition, because a lower entry price can help offset some depreciation pressure. Well-documented maintenance and clean history will matter more when it comes time to trade or sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2016 Audi A7 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2016 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2016 if:

• 32.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 65.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.53% compared with last year.

The bottom line: The 2016 is a strong choice if you want the refreshed look, useful tech updates, and a market that has eased a bit from last year. If your priority is stretching your budget further, you may want to compare nearby years and focus on the cleanest, best-priced example rather than the newest badge alone.
