At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, especially if a listing looks unusually well priced. Focus on the overall condition of the specific vehicle you’re considering, not just the model’s reputation.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Toyota Highlander?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,443 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.12% compared with last year.

What is the 2015 Toyota Highlander's resale value?

The current average of $16,346 sits slightly below last year's $17,228.

That price movement suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more confidently now but may also limit short-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you keep the vehicle in strong condition and maintain it well, you can help protect its value over time. Demand should remain supported by the model’s strong owner satisfaction and practical family-friendly appeal.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Toyota Highlander or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 35.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56.8% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 5.12% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $15,461, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $16,346 average.
• It offers a more engaging feel while staying practical for family use.

The bottom line: If you want the stronger all-around value proposition, the 2015 is the better primary choice thanks to its solid pricing, strong owner satisfaction, and broad market availability. If your top priority is spending less upfront, the 2014 is the better secondary path.
