Why it stands out
The 2015 Subaru Forester is undeniably appealing for buyers seeking a reliable, spacious, and safe crossover. Its redesign in 2014 led to heightened praise, with accolades like the Motor Trend SUV of the Year and an Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) Top Safety Pick. Owners appreciate the Forester's comfort and performance, particularly in handling and sturdiness, which is enhanced by its standard all-wheel drive. Although the technological aspects of the Forester may not shine compared to its competitors, its focus on safety remains a major selling point. The available EyeSight Driver Assist technology, while imperfect, adds an extra layer of security by incorporating state-of-the-art safety features. Buyers will find that the Forester balances decent performance—with a base engine offering 170 horsepower and a turbo option for more spirited driving—with fuel efficiency, boasting an EPA rating of 24 mpg city and 32 mpg highway. Despite some criticism regarding the outdated infotainment system and interior quality, the Forester's solid build and utility make it a sensible choice for families.

Reviewed a 2015 Subaru 2.5i Limited on Jun 11, 2014
After 10 years with my old car, I have been checking out what's on the market. I hadn't considered a Subaru until someone suggested how much their friend liked their new Forester. So, not expecting much, I test drove one, three times so far. I was very favorably impressed. For a SUV, handling was quite nimble but was still comfortable over rough roads, railroad tracks and the like, while remaining solid and quiet. The base 2.5i engine was more than adequate for my needs. The interior is very spacious and the visibility great. The front seats could be a little better, but that can be said about most of the small SUVs on the market, and the overall design and infotainment systems are a bit out of date, but I can forgive that since I value the driving aspects of the car more. Overall, it is a great value for the money, even at the higher trim levels. It's my choice when I trade cars later this summer.

This vehicle is a great fit for me and my lifestyle. Plenty of room, runs really well, the moon roof is fantastic.

I loved my 2015 Subaru Forester ! It was comfortable and we went everywhere in it. No mountain too tall. Unfortunately it was totaled. We were not hurt due to its safety features. I’m looking for another and possibly a 2016.

I drove several models, but the Subaru Forester had plenty of pep, and was a very smooth operating vehicle. I compared it to the VW Tiguan and the Nissan Rogue. Feature for feature the Forester is the best value for my dollar.
