How much does the 2015 Mazda CX-9 cost?

There are 268 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Mazda CX-9 a good car?

Yes — the 5/5 user rating points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners consistently praise the spacious cabin, the amount of equipment for the price, and the stylish, upscale look that makes it feel more premium than a typical family hauler. The third row also adds practical value if you need extra seating, and the overall package fits well if you want family usefulness without giving up a more polished presence. With 32.8% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2015 Mazda CX-9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience for many shoppers, with praise centered on the vehicle’s lasting appeal and the confidence it inspires over time. That said, used buyers should still think about long-term ownership risk in the usual way: verify maintenance history and make sure the specific vehicle has been cared for consistently.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Mazda CX-9?

At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with past damage. After that, prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually strong. Focus on overall condition, signs of prior repair, and whether the vehicle’s features and interior wear match the mileage and asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Mazda CX-9?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 268 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.53% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 64.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $9,143, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The current average of $9,567 sits slightly below last year's $10,813.

That price movement suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy at a more favorable entry point. For future resale, a lower purchase price can reduce your exposure to depreciation if you keep the vehicle in strong condition. Well-kept examples with clean history and desirable equipment should hold up better than average because shoppers still respond to the CX-9’s space and upscale feel.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Mazda CX-9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 64.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 11.53% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,204, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $9,567 average.
• It brings a quieter, more upscale cabin with a stronger near-luxury feel.

The bottom line: If you want the better value today, the 2015 is the stronger starting point because pricing has softened and the market still offers a meaningful share of good deals. If you’re willing to spend more for a newer-feeling, more upscale experience, the 2016 is the better secondary path.
