How much does the 2015 Mazda CX-9 cost?

Prices have softened 12.41% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 286 listings available, which gives you a modest pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Mazda CX-9 a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Mazda CX-9 earns a 5/5 user rating, which points to strong owner satisfaction. Owners repeatedly praise the spacious cabin, the generous feature content for the price, and the sporty, upscale look that helps it feel more polished than a typical family hauler. It also fits well if you want a three-row crossover that balances practicality with a more stylish driving experience. With 33.6% of listings marked as good or great deals, you have a decent chance of finding attractive pricing.

Is the 2015 Mazda CX-9 reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback also emphasizes that the CX-9 feels dependable in everyday family use, with many shoppers appreciating how well it serves as a long-term, trouble-free three-row crossover. That said, used buyers should still verify maintenance history and condition carefully so you can reduce the risk of inheriting age-related ownership costs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Mazda CX-9?

At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report so you can separate clean examples from those with prior damage or repeated claims. After that, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection that focuses on body condition, signs of repair quality, and how well the cabin and mechanicals have been maintained. Because this model is often chosen for family use, pay close attention to wear items and overall condition rather than just the asking price.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Mazda CX-9?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 286 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.41% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 61.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $8,986, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Mazda CX-9's resale value?

The current average of $9,057 sits slightly below last year's $10,339.

That softer pricing can help you buy in at a lower cost, but it also means future resale gains may be more limited if the market stays soft. If you plan to sell later, the best protection is choosing a clean, well-kept example with strong documentation and avoiding vehicles with accident history or visible wear. A well-priced purchase today can still hold up reasonably well if you buy carefully and keep the vehicle in strong condition.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Should I buy a 2015 Mazda CX-9 or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 33.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 61.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 12.41% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,207, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $9,057 average.
• It brings a redesigned, quieter cabin with a more upscale feel.

The bottom line: If you want the lower entry price and a strong satisfaction record, the 2015 is the better value play. If you can spend more and want the newer redesign, the 2016 is the better upgrade path.
