CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Lincoln MKC
overall

Summary
With 265 currently listed for sale and an average price of $9,861.00, 27.5% of 2015 Lincoln MKCs for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Lincoln MKC 4.71 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.17 / 10.
58.9% of 2015 MKC models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Lincoln MKC stands out as Lincoln’s new entry-level luxury crossover, created to help sharpen a brand image that had become somewhat muddled. It aims to make a strong first impression with a turbocharged 4-cylinder engine, and the test-drive notes emphasize that it delivers nearly 300 horsepower with torque to match. That combination gives the MKC a more performance-minded personality than many buyers might expect from a compact luxury crossover, while the available adaptive suspension and panoramic sunroof add to its appeal.
Inside, the MKC’s distinctive character comes from its upscale presentation. The test-drive data points to sexy interior materials, which helps the cabin feel more premium than its class position might suggest. Owners also tend to praise the smooth ride, comfort, and luxurious features, along with the value for the price and the practical options available. The main drawback is space: some reviewers wished for more legroom and cargo room, suggesting that the interior can feel a bit cramped, especially for passengers.

Initial impression was great. Comfortable to drive and has a luxurious feel to it. Pictures made it seem much larger than it was though, along with some other reviews from 3rd parties noting it was comparable to a Ford escape. The inside felt more like a compact hatchback. Comfy for the driver and front passenger if the chairs are all the way back but you wouldnt be able to fit any additional passengers comfortably and the trunk has very little space.

How much does the 2015 Lincoln MKC cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $9,801 |
| Year-Round Low | $9,762.06 |
| Year-Round High | $11,299.90 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $11,273 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −13.06% |
Prices have softened 13.06% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 266 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.
If you find a listing below $9,762.06, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Lincoln MKC a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Lincoln MKC earns a 4.71/5 user rating, and our experts give it 7.17/10 overall.
The standout strength is Safety at 9/10.
Drivers consistently praise the smooth ride, comfort, and luxurious features, and they also like the value for the price and the practical options available. The MKC’s role as Lincoln’s entry-level luxury crossover fits that feedback well: it aims to feel upscale and approachable while still offering a more performance-minded personality than many compact luxury crossovers.
The market also shows 27.8% of listings as good or great deals, which suggests you can still find attractive pricing if you shop carefully.
Is the 2015 Lincoln MKC reliable?
Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The user feedback points to a smooth, comfortable, and luxurious vehicle that many drivers feel good about living with over time. It also comes across as practical and value-oriented, which usually matters when you’re trying to keep ownership stress low.
The expert notes reinforce that impression with a refined, easygoing driving character and a well-calibrated set of tech and safety systems. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about outright durability than about making sure the specific vehicle you choose has been maintained well and hasn’t been compromised by prior damage or heavy use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Lincoln MKC?
At 59.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection, especially if the listing price looks unusually attractive. Focus on body condition, panel alignment, and signs of prior repair, since accident history can affect both long-term value and ownership confidence.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The cabin presentation is a major part of the MKC’s appeal, and the more richly equipped examples add features like the panoramic sunroof, heated and cooled front seats, navigation with voice recognition, a hands-free liftgate, and upgraded audio. Base versions are more likely to feel stripped down by comparison, so you should pay close attention to which comfort and convenience features are actually included.

The stronger 2.3-liter version is described as delivering nearly 300 horsepower with torque to match, and the 2.0-liter is rated at 20 mpg city/29 highway in FWD form and 19/26 with AWD.
- Safety package: Standard equipment includes stability and traction control, 4-wheel antilock disc brakes, a rear-view camera, and a full set of airbags including driver’s knee and full-length side curtains. Available driver-assistance tech includes blind-spot monitoring, frontal-collision prevention with pre-brake, lane-keeping assist, and rear cross-traffic alerts.
- Infotainment: The tech setup includes a THX sound system, navigation with voice recognition, and easy phone pairing. The available panoramic sunroof also makes the cabin feel brighter and roomier, though it can wash out the screens when the sun is behind you.
- Fuel efficiency: The base 2.0-liter engine returns 20 mpg city/29 highway in FWD form and 19/26 with AWD.
