How much does the 2015 Kia Forte cost?

Prices have softened 9.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 380 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte a good car?

Yes — 5/5 from owners and 7.17/10 from experts point to a Forte that delivers strong value for you if you want style and equipment without a high price. The overview frames it as a small, affordable car with attractive design and broad appeal, and the expert review reinforces that it can be loaded with a wide range of features if you spend more. The standout strength is Technology at 10/10. The market also shows 28.4% of listings as good or great deals, which supports a favorable shopping environment.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction. The cost-effectiveness notes point to an industry-leading warranty, strong roadside assistance, and low predicted ownership costs, while the expert review says the car’s long-term dependability is expected to be average. That means you can approach it as a value-focused used buy, but you should still plan for the usual age-related wear checks and verify maintenance history carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Kia Forte?

At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important. You should run a vehicle history report, prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, and pay close attention to bodywork, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Focus on how the car drives and whether the equipment works as expected, especially if you’re considering a higher-trim example with more electronics.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base LX is fairly well equipped, but it stands out for its cheap-looking 15-inch wheels; the EX adds a peppier engine, standard automatic transmission, Flex Steer, aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, LED running lights, and power-folding mirrors.
• Powertrain: The EX uses a 173-hp, 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine with a 6-speed automatic, and the review notes that it is adequate around town while returning 28.1 mpg in mixed driving.
• Safety package: UVO eServices and the reversing camera are the main added safety-related tech items, and the review notes the Forte lacks blind-spot warning and rear cross-traffic alert systems.
• Infotainment: UVO eServices brings Bluetooth streaming, Pandora access, Parking Minder, 911 Connect, Find My Car, Curfew Limit, Speed Alert, and Geo Fence features; navigation and the reversing camera are included with the system.
• Fuel efficiency: The expert review cites 28.1 mpg in weeklong driving, with official ratings of 25 mpg city and 36 mpg highway.

Which 2015 Kia Forte trim should I buy?

The 2015 Kia Forte is offered in 2 trim levels: LX and EX.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the value play if you want the lowest entry price and can live with the simpler setup. It still includes air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, Bluetooth, a USB port, satellite radio, and a tilt-and-telescopic steering wheel, and the Popular Package adds useful everyday conveniences like cruise control, remote keyless entry, and an upgraded sound system.
• EX: This is the best-value trim if you want the stronger engine and a more upscale feel without going all the way to a heavily optioned car. It adds the 173-hp engine, standard automatic transmission, Flex Steer, aluminum wheels, automatic headlights, fog lights, LED running lights, and more premium interior touches, while also opening the door to the richer tech and comfort packages.

The safety content notes that Kia did not load the Forte with many preventative safety technologies, so you should not expect advanced driver-assistance features on either trim.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Kia Forte?

This looks like a moderate market for selective buyers, with enough inventory and pricing softness to reward comparison shopping.

• Deal availability: 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 380 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 48.2% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $7,099, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Kia Forte's resale value?

The current average of $7,180 sits slightly below last year's $7,966. That kind of price movement suggests the Forte has already absorbed some depreciation, which can help future sellers if they buy at the right number today. If you pay close to the lower end of the range and keep the car in clean condition, you give yourself a better chance of limiting losses later.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Kia Forte safe?

The 2015 Kia Forte earns a five-star overall rating from NHTSA, and in other IIHS tests the Forte earns top marks. It earns a 6/10 safety score from our experts.

The safety story is mixed because the Forte’s small overlap frontal-impact result improved only from Poor to Marginal, which is still a weak point. Kia’s UVO eServices system adds useful features such as a reversing camera, 911 Connect, Find My Car, Curfew Limit, Speed Alert, and Geo Fence, but the car does not offer many modern preventative safety technologies. You should treat the crash-test shortcoming as a major consideration if safety is a top priority.

Should I buy a 2015 Kia Forte or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 28.4% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.87% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 stands out for its attractive design, low starting price, and unusually rich equipment potential.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $6,522, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $7,180 average.
• It is described as a more complete and competitive small car with style, space, efficiency, and in-car tech.

The 2015 is the better pick if you want the newer-year value story and stronger feature content, especially in EX form. If your priority is simply spending less up front, the 2014 is the more budget-friendly path and still brings a polished, practical package.
