How much does the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee cost?

Prices have softened 9.98% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 3,003 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for comparison shopping.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee a good car?

Yes — 4.71/5. It also earns an expert rating of 8.67/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Form and function, Technology, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise its stylish design, luxurious features, smooth ride, comfortable interior, powerful performance, and advanced sound systems. For you, that means it fits especially well if you want a capable SUV that still feels upscale and comfortable for daily driving. The broad trim and engine range also gives you room to match the vehicle to your budget and how you plan to use it.

31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which gives you some room to find a strong-value example.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee reliable?

Owners rate it 4.71/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a vehicle that many drivers find dependable and satisfying over time, with repeated praise for its comfort, performance, and overall appeal. The expert evaluation also describes it as a well-mannered SUV with strong capability and a broad range of choices, which supports the idea that it can be a trustworthy long-term companion when maintained properly. The available warranty coverage includes a 5-year/100,000-mile powertrain limited warranty, 3-year/36,000-mile basic limited warranty, and 5 years/100,000 miles of roadside assistance.

For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is that quality concerns and non-warranty repairs can add cost if you don’t verify condition carefully.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

At 57.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you’re considering a higher-mileage example or one with lots of options. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and whether the equipment you want is actually present, since this model’s trim structure can change the ownership experience a lot.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Laredo is very lightly equipped, while the Laredo E opens up more options and the Altitude adds standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, and a power liftgate. The Limited pushes the Grand Cherokee further toward luxury with standard rear back-up camera, Quadra-Trac II 4WD, and Selec-Terrain, while the Overland and Summit add more comfort and off-road equipment. If you want the best value, the Limited is the trim that most clearly balances equipment and price.
• Powertrain: You get a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 on the base trim, plus available 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6, 5.7-liter Hemi V8, and SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8 options. The EcoDiesel stands out for its torque and 21/28 fuel economy in 4WD form, while the V8s trade efficiency for stronger performance and towing.
• Safety package: Standard equipment includes a 3-point center rear seatbelt, active head restraints, advanced multistage front airbags, driver inflatable knee-bolster airbags, supplemental side curtain and front seat-mounted airbags, electronic stability control, 4-wheel traction control, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and trailer sway control. Higher trims add a rear back-up camera, front and rear park assist, hill-descent control, blind-spot and cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision warning, so trim choice matters if you want the fuller safety suite.
• Infotainment: The base system uses a 5-inch touchscreen with AM/FM/Bluetooth and voice command with Bluetooth. Higher trims get an 8.4-inch screen with SiriusXM, HD Radio, and navigation, plus available or standard connected services and upgraded audio, including a 19-speaker Harman Kardon system on some trims.
• Fuel efficiency: The 3.0-liter EcoDiesel V6 returns 21/28 in 4WD form, while the 3.6-liter V6 gets 17/24 in 4WD models. The 5.7-liter Hemi V8 is rated 14/20 in 4WD, and the SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8 is rated 13/19.

Which 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee trim should I buy?

The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee is offered in 8 trim levels: Laredo, Laredo E, Altitude, Limited, Overland, Summit, SRT, SRT Red Vapor.

Here's the short version:

• Laredo: This is the entry point, but it’s very basic, with minimal features beyond essentials like dual-zone automatic temperature control, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, Uconnect 5.0, Bluetooth, and keyless entry. It makes sense only if you want the lowest starting price and plan to keep expectations modest.
• Laredo E: This trim is the better starting point because it opens the door to a wide range of useful options, including appearance, comfort, towing, and off-road packages. If you want flexibility and plan to build the SUV to your needs, this is the trim to watch.
• Altitude: This is the first trim that feels meaningfully upgraded, with standard heated front seats, a heated steering wheel, an 8.4-inch Uconnect screen, and a power liftgate. It’s a strong choice if you want a nicer daily driver without jumping all the way to luxury pricing.
• Limited: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the rear back-up camera, Quadra-Trac II 4WD, and Selec-Terrain as standard, while also unlocking a long list of luxury upgrades. It’s the trim that most clearly balances comfort, capability, and equipment.
• Overland: This trim leans harder into comfort and off-road ability, with standard heated front and rear seats, ventilated front seats, and the Off-Road Adventure II package. Choose it if you want a more premium feel and stronger trail hardware.
• Summit: This is the fully loaded luxury choice, with the broadest mix of comfort and off-road features and very few decisions left to make beyond engine choice. It suits you if you want the most upscale Grand Cherokee experience.
• SRT: This is the performance-focused version, with the SRT 6.4-liter Hemi V8 and a very well-equipped setup. It’s the right pick if outright performance matters more than efficiency.
• SRT Red Vapor: This is the most exclusive performance trim, with unique interior trim and the same SRT V8 focus. It’s for buyers who want the top-end performance look and feel.

The safety package is broad across the lineup, but the rear back-up camera is limited to only a few trims, so it’s worth prioritizing if you want that feature.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you have room to shop carefully without waiting forever.

• Deal availability: 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 3,003 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.98% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 57.5% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,685, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee's resale value?

The current average of $11,685 sits slightly below last year's $12,979.

That price movement suggests the market has softened, which can help you buy more affordably now but may also limit near-term upside if you plan to resell soon. If you’re a future seller, the key is to buy a well-kept example with the right trim and equipment, because condition and desirability will matter more when the market is already trending lower. Stronger trims with popular features should be easier to move later than a stripped-down example.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.71/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee safe?

The 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee earns five-star ratings overall from NHTSA, with four-star rollover results and five-star ratings in all other NHTSA tests. The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety gives it Good ratings in all categories except Small Overlap Front, which is rated Marginal.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Standard safety equipment includes a 3-point center rear seatbelt, active head restraints, advanced multistage front airbags, driver inflatable knee-bolster airbags, supplemental side curtain and front seat-mounted airbags, electronic stability control, 4-wheel traction control, rain brake support, ready alert braking, and trailer sway control. Higher trims add a rear back-up camera, front and rear park assist, hill-descent control, blind-spot and cross-path detection, adaptive cruise control, and forward-collision warning.

The main caveat is the Marginal Small Overlap Front result, so if safety is a top priority, you should pay close attention to crash history and trim-level equipment.

Should I buy a 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 57.5% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 9.98% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.71/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 broadens trim and engine choice while keeping comfort, capability, and luxury appeal in balance.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,775, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $11,685 average.
• It emphasizes refined daily drivability without giving up serious off-road capability.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,211, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $11,685 average.
• It emphasizes towing, off-pavement ability, and Jeep styling and image.

The bottom line: If you want the best mix of price, choice, and owner satisfaction, the 2015 is the primary year to target. If you’re especially price-sensitive, the 2014 is the better value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling alternative, the 2016 is worth comparing.
