CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Honda Odyssey
overall

Summary
With 198 currently listed for sale near Washington, DC and an average price of $13,106.00, 19.7% of 2015 Honda Odysseys for sale on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Honda Odyssey 4.87 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.5 / 10.
75.3% of 2015 Odyssey models on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Honda Odyssey stands out by making a minivan feel a little less utilitarian than the category stereotype suggests. It has greater flair for design than other vehicles like it, which gives it more visual appeal than many shoppers expect from a family hauler. Even so, its core identity is still practical: it is a tool primarily of the parenthood trade, built to serve a function and satisfy a requirement while making life as a mom or dad easier.
That practicality is also part of its appeal. The Odyssey is described as a safety rock star, which adds to its family-friendly case. Owner feedback reinforces that image, with praise for its powerful performance, comfort, spacious interior, and good value for the price. At the same time, some drivers wanted additional features such as a blind spot monitoring system, so while the 2015 Honda Odyssey is well suited to families, it is not presented as a vehicle that wins on style alone or satisfies every feature wish.

I have only had the car for a week but already love it. Im a mom and I have enjoyed the cargo space, the space between seats, the convenience of the sliding doors when getting kids in and out of car seats. I miss the blind spot monitoring on my 2015 CX-9 but other than that, great vehicle.

I think this car has a lot of features that benefit a family whether it is large or small. There are comfortable seats for adults or children throughout and plenty of storage for luggage even if the seats are filled with people. The car has many features that make it a great car to drive and enjoy on a road trip.

CarGurus tracks the prices of millions of used car listings every year. See how the average price of 2015 Honda Odyssey prices has changed over time.
See more price trendsHow much does the 2015 Honda Odyssey cost?
| Metric | Value |
|---|---|
| Current Average Price | $12,312 |
| Year-Round Low | $11,933.45 |
| Year-Round High | $13,223.03 |
| Average Price a Year Ago | $13,220 |
| Change vs. Last Year | −6.87% |
Prices have softened 6.87% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.
There are 1,591 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.
If you find a listing below $11,933.45, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
Is the 2015 Honda Odyssey a good car?
Yes — the 2015 Honda Odyssey earns a 4.87/5 user rating and a 7.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Safety at 10/10.
Owners consistently praise its powerful performance, comfort, spacious interior, and good value for the price. The overview also frames it as a practical family hauler with more visual appeal than many shoppers expect, which helps it feel less utilitarian than the minivan stereotype.
With a 29.9% good-or-great deal rate, you have a decent chance of finding a competitively priced example.
Is the 2015 Honda Odyssey reliable?
Owners rate it 4.87/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
User feedback points to a dependable, trouble-free ownership experience, with repeated praise for its strong performance, comfort, spacious interior, and good value. The expert review also describes it as a vehicle built to serve family duty well over the long term, with ownership centered on practicality and durability-minded use.
The cost-effectiveness commentary says quality, reliability, dependability, and ownership costs are all broadly average, so a used example is best approached with normal maintenance expectations rather than low-risk assumptions.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Odyssey?
At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the van has higher mileage or visible wear. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel gaps, interior wear from family use, and any evidence that safety or driver-assistance equipment has been repaired or disabled.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: Base versions can miss some of the more desirable driver-assistance and convenience features, while higher trims add more family-friendly equipment.
- Powertrain: The 3.5-liter V6 makes 248 hp and 250 lb-ft of torque, and the 6-speed automatic is tuned for smooth everyday use. Honda does not offer all-wheel drive.
- Safety package: Forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and a multi-angle rear-view camera are available depending on trim level. The Touring Elite is the only version that offers a traditional blind-spot monitoring system.
- Infotainment: The Touring Elite uses a dual-screen infotainment setup with HondaLink first-generation connectivity, Bluetooth calling and music streaming, text messaging, email capability, and rear entertainment features.
- Fuel efficiency: Official EPA fuel economy is 22 mpg combined, and the review notes a real-world average of 19.3 mpg.
Which 2015 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?
The 2015 Honda Odyssey is offered in 1 trim level: Touring Elite.
Here's the short version:
The Touring Elite is the clear choice here because it bundles the most complete mix of comfort, tech, and family-focused convenience. It adds the traditional blind-spot monitoring system, rear entertainment, and the onboard vacuum system, which make it the most fully equipped version for daily family use.
The safety package note is simple: the Touring Elite is the only Odyssey that offers a traditional blind-spot monitoring system.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Odyssey?
This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so it makes sense to shop carefully and compare listings.
- Deal availability: 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 1,591 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.87% compared with last year.
- Clean inventory: 55.2% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $11,933.45, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Honda Odyssey's resale value?
The current average of $12,312 sits slightly below last year's $13,220.
That softer pricing suggests the market has already adjusted downward, which can help you buy more confidently today. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend more on condition, mileage, and equipment than on broad market momentum. Well-kept examples with strong feature content should be easier to move than neglected ones.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.87/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Honda Odyssey safe?
The 2015 Odyssey earns a five-star rating in all impact-related tests from NHTSA, and the IIHS designates it a Top Safety Pick.
It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.
Depending on trim level, it includes forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and a multi-angle rear-view camera. The Touring Elite is the only version that offers a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, replacing LaneWatch on that trim.
Should I buy a 2015 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 29.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 55.2% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 6.87% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.87/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 combines strong safety, family-friendly practicality, and a more polished design than many minivans.
Consider the 2014 if:
- At $10,808, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,312 average.
- It is a broadly capable family hauler with strong all-around competence.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $14,235, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,312 average.
- It emphasizes comfort, features, and flexibility with impressive safety ratings.
