What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Odyssey?

At 54.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection matters here, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings with similar prices. Focus on overall condition, signs of cabin wear, and whether the equipment you want is actually present on the trim you’re considering.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The Touring Elite stands out with a more upscale feel, and it adds blind-spot monitoring in place of LaneWatch, which is a meaningful equipment gap to check on lower trims.
• Powertrain: The Odyssey uses a 3.5-liter V6 with 248 hp and a 6-speed automatic, and Honda does not offer all-wheel drive.
• Safety package: Depending on trim, you can get forward-collision warning, lane-departure warning, and a multi-angle rear-view camera; the Touring Elite is the only trim with traditional blind-spot monitoring.
• Infotainment: The Touring Elite has a dual-screen infotainment setup with HondaLink first-generation connectivity, Bluetooth calling and music streaming, text messaging and email capability, plus a rear entertainment system.
• Fuel efficiency: The Odyssey is rated at 22 mpg in combined driving, and the review notes an observed 19.3 mpg during testing.

Which 2015 Honda Odyssey trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Odyssey is offered in 1 trim level: Touring Elite.

Here's the short version:

The Touring Elite is the most fully equipped version, and it’s the one to target if you want the broadest feature set. It adds the most upscale technology and convenience content, including the rear entertainment system, onboard vacuum, and the traditional blind-spot monitoring system that replaces LaneWatch. If you want the best-equipped Odyssey and don’t mind paying for it, this is the trim to focus on.

The Touring Elite is also the trim to choose if you want the safety-package upgrade that swaps in a conventional blind-spot monitoring system.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Odyssey?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but should move quickly on strong listings.

• Deal availability: 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,849 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.17% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 54.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,925, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Odyssey's resale value?

The current average of $12,583 sits slightly below last year's $12,732.

That modest decline suggests the market has softened a bit, which can help you as a buyer today but may temper what you recover later as a seller. Even so, the Odyssey’s pricing remains relatively stable within its yearly range, which points to steady demand rather than a sharp drop-off. Strong owner satisfaction also helps support future buyer interest.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.9/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Odyssey safe?

The 2015 Honda Odyssey earns a Top Safety Pick designation from IIHS and five-star ratings in all NHTSA impact-related tests.

It earns a 10/10 safety score from our experts.

The Touring Elite is the only trim with a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, which is a useful safety upgrade if you want the most complete driver-assistance setup. Safety is one of this model year’s clearest strengths.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Odyssey or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.1% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 54.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.17% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.9/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It combines strong safety with family-focused practicality and a more stylish design than many minivans.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $10,499, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,583 average.
• It is a broadly capable family hauler with strong safety, technology, performance, and comfort.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,646, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,583 average.
• It emphasizes comfort, flexibility, and a long list of family-friendly features.

The bottom line: If you want the best balance of price, safety, and family usefulness, the 2015 is the smart middle ground. If your priority is saving money, the 2014 is the value play; if you want to spend more for a newer-feeling package, the 2016 is the step up.
