Why it stands out
The 2015 Honda Fit stands out because it blends practicality with personality in a way few small cars manage. The redesigned model is still quirky and remarkably fun to drive, yet it is also better than ever in other respects. Honda’s approach gives the Fit a grown-up, more sophisticated feel without stripping away its offbeat character, which helps make it memorable in a segment where many cars can feel interchangeable.
It is also appealing because it is one of Honda’s rare subcompacts that feels more like a reward than a penalty box to own and drive. The car’s strengths are rooted in being fun, affordable, and practical, and that combination is a big part of its appeal. Owner feedback reinforces that image, with praise for the spacious interior, excellent gas mileage, and impressive cargo space. At the same time, some drivers have found the handling less enjoyable and the engine noise a bit loud, so the Fit’s charm comes with a few compromises.

Love this car. LOVE THIS CAR. Its small, but not cramped. Cargo space is amazing. So is gas mileage. Just expect to use a windshield screen--the windshield is really sloped and heats up.

I was surprised with all the accessories and features that bring the 2015 Honda Fit. The EX version I got is fully loaded with technology ahead of its time for the model. Not only the design and functionality is super well made, the interface with the multimedia and car features is great. The 6 Speed Manual Is super fun to drive and make it a hot hatch in the city.

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The owner summary points to a practical, value-oriented car, and the cost-effectiveness commentary says the Fit is expected to be very inexpensive to own and operate over time. It also notes that Honda, Consumer Reports, and J.D. Power view it favorably for reliability, which reinforces the sense that this is a car you can count on.
Honda also includes three years and 36,000 miles of free roadside assistance coverage for the 2015 model year, which adds a little ownership peace of mind.
For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about the Fit’s basic durability and more about finding one that has been maintained well and hasn’t been worn down by heavy daily use.
What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Fit?
At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a close inspection of body panels, paint match, and any signs of prior repair. Because the Fit is a small car, condition matters a lot: you want to know whether the car has been used gently or has picked up wear from city driving, parking damage, or past collisions.
Key things to evaluate:
- Trim level: The EX test car adds a more upscale cabin feel than the previous Fit, with decent-quality materials and a more refined interior. It also brings LaneWatch, though the commentary notes that it is not as intuitive as a traditional blind-spot system.
- Powertrain: The Fit uses a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower, and the manual-transmission test car felt spirited rather than fast. It returned 34.7 mpg in testing, with official estimates of 29 mpg city/37 highway and 32 mpg combined.
- Safety package: LaneWatch comes standard on the EX test car, and a rear-view camera is standard equipment. Models with HondaLink also benefit from automatic collision notification.
- Infotainment: EX and EX-L models use a 7-inch touchscreen with tap, pinch, and swipe controls. HondaLink connectivity requires a physical iPhone connection, and the system supports apps such as Pandora and Aha.
- Fuel efficiency: The Fit averaged 34.7 mpg in testing, with official estimates of 29 mpg city/37 highway and 32 mpg combined.
Which 2015 Honda Fit trim should I buy?
The 2015 Honda Fit is offered in 1 trim level: EX.
Here's the short version:
The EX is the trim described here, and it’s the one that adds the touchscreen infotainment setup, HondaLink connectivity, and LaneWatch. It suits you best if you want the Fit’s practicality with a little more tech and convenience.
The safety-package note to keep in mind is that LaneWatch is standard on the EX test car, but the commentary suggests it is not as effective or intuitive as a conventional blind-spot warning system.
Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Fit?
This looks like a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.
- Deal availability: 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- Inventory: There are 458 listings available.
- Price trend: Prices are up 3.39% year-over-year.
- Clean inventory: 57.9% of listings are accident-free.
If you find a listing below $10,203, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.
What is the 2015 Honda Fit's resale value?
The current average of $11,524 sits slightly above last year's $11,147.
That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay a bit more for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The Fit’s combination of practicality, strong fuel economy, and value-oriented appeal helps keep buyer interest steady.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Is the 2015 Honda Fit safe?
The 2015 Honda Fit earns a Top Safety Pick from IIHS and a top five-star protection rating from NHTSA.
It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.
The safety setup includes LaneWatch, which uses a right-side camera view, plus a standard rear-view camera with a 180-degree view behind the car. Models with HondaLink also add automatic collision notification.
The main caveat is the IIHS small overlap front crash test result, which is only Acceptable rather than Good. That keeps the Fit from looking quite as strong as its overall safety reputation might suggest.
Should I buy a 2015 Honda Fit or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 31.2% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 57.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices are up 3.39% year-over-year.
- Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The redesigned Fit is described as still quirky and remarkably fun to drive, while also being more sophisticated and practical than before.
The bottom line: The 2015 Fit makes sense if you want the redesigned model’s stronger mix of practicality, personality, and value. If you’re especially price-sensitive, you can still shop carefully for a lower-mileage or cleaner-history example, but the 2015 is a solid target year if you want the newer-generation Fit experience.
