Is the 2015 Honda Fit a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Fit earns a 4.8/5 user rating and an 8.5/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, excellent gas mileage, and impressive cargo space. The Fit is also framed as a practical, value-oriented choice that feels more like a reward than a penalty box, which fits well if you want a small car that still feels fun and useful.

That combination makes sense if you want an economical compact car that still has personality and everyday versatility. 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have some room to shop for value.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback points to a practical, value-oriented car that people can count on for everyday use, and the expert commentary says the Fit is expected to be very inexpensive to own and operate over time. It also notes that Consumer Reports and J.D. Power think it is likely to be nearly bulletproof in terms of reliability.

Honda’s free roadside assistance coverage for three years and 36,000 miles adds another ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is making sure a specific car has been maintained well, since condition and upkeep matter more as mileage climbs.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Fit?

At 55.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a careful inspection of body panels, alignment, and signs of prior repair. Because the Fit is a small, practical car, condition matters a lot: you want to make sure the cabin, cargo area, and mechanicals match the seller’s description.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The EX trim adds a 7-inch touchscreen and HondaLink-based connectivity, while the safety content shows LaneWatch on the EX test car and a rear-view camera as standard equipment. That means lower trims may miss some of the convenience and visibility features that make the higher trims easier to live with.
• Powertrain: The Fit uses a 1.5-liter 4-cylinder engine with 130 horsepower, and the manual-transmission test car is described as spirited and eager when you rev it. It is not a fast car, but it is forgiving at the fuel pumps and returns strong efficiency.
• Safety package: LaneWatch is the named driver-assistance feature, and it uses a right-side camera view that appears on the infotainment screen. A rear-view camera is standard, and models with HondaLink also get automatic collision notification.
• Infotainment: The system uses a 7-inch touchscreen, and HondaLink supports connected apps through a wired iPhone connection. The content does not mention wireless smartphone integration or over-the-air updates.
• Fuel efficiency: The Fit is described as returning 29 mpg city and 37 highway, and the test car averaged 34.7 mpg over a week with an EPA-estimated 32 mpg combined.

Which 2015 Honda Fit trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Fit is offered in 1 trim level: EX.

Here's the short version:

The EX is the trim to focus on if you want the Fit’s best mix of everyday usability and tech. It brings the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink connectivity, and the LaneWatch camera system, which makes it the most clearly equipped version described in the data. If you want the most complete version of this model year’s strengths, this is the one to target.

The safety package note is simple: LaneWatch is standard on the EX test car, and the rear-view camera is standard across the model.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Fit?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop carefully without expecting a deep bargain on every listing.

• Deal availability: 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 457 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.23% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 55.4% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,197, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Fit's resale value?

The current average of $11,568 sits slightly above last year's $10,788.

That upward move suggests the market has been willing to pay more for this model year, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The Fit’s combination of practicality, strong fuel economy, and broad appeal helps support demand. Its reputation for value and ownership satisfaction also makes it easier to imagine a healthy used-car audience down the road.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Fit safe?

The 2015 Honda Fit earns a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS, with an Acceptable rating in the small overlap front crash test, and earns five-star ratings from NHTSA.

It earns a 7/10 safety score from our experts.

The named driver-assistance feature is LaneWatch, which uses a right-side camera view that appears on the infotainment screen when activated or when you signal a right turn or lane change. A rear-view camera is standard, and models with HondaLink also include automatic collision notification.

The main caveat is that LaneWatch is not a full blind-spot monitoring system, and the IIHS small overlap result is weaker than the rest of the crash performance.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Fit or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55.4% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 7.23% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The redesigned 2015 Fit is described as still quirky, remarkably fun to drive, and more sophisticated without losing its character.

The bottom line: The 2015 Fit is a strong choice if you want a small car that feels more rewarding than merely practical, especially if you value space, efficiency, and a lively personality. If you are more price-sensitive, you can still shop the market carefully, but the 2015’s combination of owner satisfaction and strong utility makes it the better pick when condition and price line up.

How does the 2015 Honda Fit compare to the 2015 Ford Fiesta?

Our experts score the 2015 Honda Fit 8.5/10 and the 2015 Ford Fiesta 7.5/10.

The Fit comes across as the more practical and better-rounded choice, with stronger cargo utility, better fuel economy, and a higher expert score. The Fiesta is cheaper on average, but the Fit’s stronger owner satisfaction and more versatile interior make it the more compelling pick if you want the better all-around used subcompact.
