How much does the 2015 Honda Civic cost?

Prices are up 2.57% year-over-year — a sign of continued demand for this model year.

There are 2,302 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Honda Civic earns a 4.5/5 user rating and an 8.67/10 expert rating. The standout strength is Cost effectiveness at 10/10.

Owners consistently praise its reliability, fuel efficiency, user-friendly design, smooth ride, and spacious interior. That lines up with the Civic’s role as a practical compact economy car that works especially well for commuters and first-time car buyers who want something easy to live with every day.

You also get a well-rounded small-car package that emphasizes value, quality, and everyday usability without feeling like a compromise. 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so there are still worthwhile opportunities in the market.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic reliable?

Owners rate it 4.5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The owner feedback repeatedly points to reliability, and it also highlights the Civic as a car people can count on for daily use. The expert test-drive summary reinforces that impression by emphasizing reliability, quality, and value, while the cost-effectiveness notes add that the Civic is inexpensive to insure and own.

You also get 3 years or 36,000 miles of free roadside assistance, which adds a useful ownership perk. For used buyers, the main long-term risk is less about durability and more about finding a well-kept example with the right maintenance history.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Honda Civic?

At 48.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you’re comparing multiple listings at similar prices. Focus on condition, maintenance records, and any signs of prior bodywork or inconsistent wear, since the market includes a sizable number of cars with accident history.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: Base LX trims are the most affordable, while the EX Sedan adds a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with HondaLink connectivity and services, automatic climate control, LaneWatch technology, push-button engine start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and aluminum wheels. The LX is the value play if you want the lowest entry price, while the EX suits you if you want more comfort and tech.
• Powertrain: Most Civics use a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine with 143 hp and a CVT. The setup is tuned for easy merging and climbing, and the car’s fuel economy is described as effortless in the low 30-mpg range.
• Safety package: The Civic includes a standard reversing camera, and HondaLink Assist can automatically call authorities after a collision when paired and enabled. LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims, so those trims miss that feature.
• Infotainment: If you move beyond the LX trim, you get a touchscreen infotainment system with HondaLink smartphone connectivity and services. The 7-inch display supports taps, swipes, and pinches, and the system includes app access, navigation-app support, third-party apps, HondaLink Assist, and Siri Eyes Free with an iPhone.
• Fuel efficiency: The EPA states 33 mpg in combined driving, and the test-drive average was 31.9 mpg.

Which 2015 Honda Civic trim should I buy?

The 2015 Honda Civic is offered in 4 trim levels: LX, SE, EX Sedan, and Civic Si.

Here's the short version:

• LX: This is the least expensive choice and the best fit if you want the Civic’s core strengths at the lowest price. It gives you the basics, including Bluetooth calling and text messaging, plus the standard reversing camera, but it skips the touchscreen infotainment system and LaneWatch.
• SE: This trim sits above the LX and is worth considering if you want a step up from the base model without jumping all the way to the more feature-rich trims. It still misses LaneWatch, so you should weigh that against the equipment you want most.
• EX Sedan: This is the best-value trim for many shoppers because it adds the 7-inch touchscreen, HondaLink connectivity and services, automatic climate control, push-button start, a power sunroof, automatic headlights, and aluminum wheels. If you want the most complete everyday package, this is the one to target.
• Civic Si: This is the choice if you want the most fun-to-drive version. The content describes it as the performance-tuned variant and the one that is most fun to drive.

LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Honda Civic?

This looks like a moderate, selective buyer’s market, so you can shop patiently but still move quickly on the right car.

• Deal availability: 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 2,302 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.57% year-over-year.
• Clean inventory: 48.9% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $11,431, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Honda Civic's resale value?

The current average of $12,306 sits slightly above last year's $11,997.

That upward movement suggests the Civic continues to hold buyer interest well, which is a positive sign if you plan to sell later. The model’s combination of reliability, fuel efficiency, and value helps support demand in the used market.

Because the year-over-year change is positive, you may not see steep depreciation pressure in the near term. Strong owner satisfaction also helps keep the Civic attractive to future shoppers.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Honda Civic safe?

The 2015 Honda Civic earns a 5-star overall rating from NHTSA and a Top Safety Pick rating from IIHS.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

The Civic comes with a standard reversing camera, and HondaLink Assist can automatically call authorities after a collision when paired and enabled. LaneWatch is standard on all but the Civic LX and SE trims, so those trims miss that feature.

One caveat is that LaneWatch is not a traditional blind-spot monitoring system, so you may prefer to test whether you find it intuitive before buying.

Should I buy a 2015 Honda Civic or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 30.6% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 48.9% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices are up 2.57% year-over-year.
• Owners rate it 4.5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• It delivers strong reliability, safety, fuel efficiency, quality, and value in a well-rounded compact package.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $11,087, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $12,306 average.
• It feels more refined and capable than its price suggests.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $13,824, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $12,306 average.
• It brings a more upscale feel with bold gains in refinement and build quality.

The bottom line: If you want the strongest all-around value, the 2015 is the primary pick because it blends reliability, efficiency, safety, and everyday usability well. If price is your top priority, the 2014 is the better budget path, while the 2016 makes sense if you want the newer, more polished direction and are willing to pay more.
