How much does the 2015 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 1.55% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,585 listings available, which gives you a solid amount of inventory to compare.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Ford Mustang earns a 4.75/5 user rating and a 7.33/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic feel. That lines up with the car’s role as a redesigned sports coupe that blends heritage styling with a more modern driving experience. If you want a car that feels emotional as well as quick, this year’s Mustang fits that use case well.

The market also shows 31.0% good or great deals, so you have some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.75/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and worth counting on, with praise centered on the power, handling, and classic design. The expert evaluation also notes that Mustangs have historically been slightly better than average in quality, dependability, and ownership costs. Ford’s redesigned 2015 model is more technologically sophisticated, though, so long-term ownership risk is worth watching closely if you’re buying used.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle-history report and then prioritize a thorough pre-purchase inspection. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, missing advertised features, and any quality concerns that show up in the cabin or electronics. Because this car is often bought for emotion as much as practicality, condition matters a lot more than a simple trim badge.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The GT stands out for its gorgeous V8 engine, while the test car’s sparse equipment shows that lower-content examples can feel basic even when the design is strong.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a 5.0-liter V8 with 435 hp and a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder with 310 hp. The manual transmission is described as refined, and an automatic with paddle shifters is optional.
• Safety package: MyKey is standard and lets you limit speed and stereo volume while encouraging seat-belt use. A reversing camera is standard, while blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available.
• Infotainment: The standard setup uses Ford Sync with Bluetooth, and an optional MyFord Touch system adds an 8-inch touchscreen, navigation, and premium audio with HD Radio.

Which 2015 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 2 trim levels: EcoBoost and GT.

Here's the short version:

• EcoBoost: This is the value play if you want Mustang style with the turbocharged 310 hp four-cylinder and a lower entry price. It makes the most sense if you care more about everyday affordability and still want a fun, modern pony car.
• GT: This is the enthusiast choice, thanks to the 435 hp 5.0-liter V8, stronger emotional appeal, and the most memorable performance character in the lineup. If you want the classic Mustang experience, this is the one to target.

The safety package includes MyKey, a standard reversing camera, and available blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate, selective-buyer market, so you can shop carefully without feeling rushed.

• Deal availability: 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,585 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.55% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,600, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $19,945 sits slightly below last year's $20,260.

That softer pricing suggests the market has eased a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means resale value will depend heavily on condition, mileage, and how well the car has been maintained. Because this model has strong enthusiast appeal, clean examples should continue to draw interest better than rough or heavily modified ones.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.75/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang safe?

The Mustang gets five-star ratings from NHTSA for nearly all assessments, including rollover resistance, and the IIHS rates it Good in the moderate overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

Ford includes MyKey as standard, which lets you set limits on speed and stereo volume and encourages seat-belt use. A reversing camera is standard, and blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert plus adaptive cruise control are available. The standard Sync Bluetooth system also includes 911 Assist, which can automatically alert emergency responders after a crash if a paired device is in the car.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 31.0% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 1.55% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.75/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• Ford’s redesign makes it a meaningful step forward dynamically and technologically.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $15,883, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $19,945 average.
• It blends classic Mustang character with a more polished driving experience.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $19,221, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $19,945 average.
• It adds heritage touches and Sync 3 for a fresher feel.

The bottom line: If you want the biggest step forward in design and technology, the 2015 is the right target. If price matters most, the 2014 is the cheaper route into Mustang ownership, while the 2016 is worth a look if you want a slightly newer take with added convenience features.
