How much does the 2015 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 2.70% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,585 listings available, which gives you a solid pool of options to compare by price, trim, and condition.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Ford Mustang earns a 4.8/5 user rating, and our experts give it 7.3/10.

The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic feel. The overview also frames this Mustang as a redesigned, more dynamic and technologically capable sports coupe, so you get a car that appeals both as a performance choice and as a style statement.

That said, some owners mention missing advertised features and minor quality concerns, so you should shop carefully and verify the equipment on any listing. Even so, 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals, which suggests there are worthwhile opportunities if you compare carefully.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that many drivers find dependable and enjoyable to live with over time, with praise centered on the Mustang’s power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic appeal. The expert assessment also notes that Mustangs have historically been slightly better than average in quality, dependability, and ownership costs.

The expert review adds that the Mustang’s more sophisticated redesign could affect long-term ownership patterns, so a used example deserves a careful look at maintenance history and overall condition. For you, that means the safest path is to prioritize well-documented cars with clean service records and no signs of deferred upkeep.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

At 55% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. Then focus your inspection on body panels, paint consistency, interior wear, and any signs that features or equipment may be missing from the listing. Because owner feedback mentions minor quality concerns, it’s smart to verify that everything works as advertised before you commit.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The test-drive data highlights a sparsely equipped GT with optional Recaro performance seats, and it notes that the cabin can feel more upscale than its equipment list suggests. Base-trim cars may lack the optional infotainment system, so you should check whether the features you want are actually installed.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost engine and a 5.0-liter V8 in the GT. The V8 is the standout for sound and thrust, while the EcoBoost is presented as the budget-friendly choice.
• Safety package: MyKey is standard, along with a reversing camera and Sync Bluetooth with 911 Assist. Blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available, so you should confirm whether a given car has those extras.
• Infotainment: The car can be equipped with MyFord Touch and an 8-inch touchscreen, with navigation and premium audio available once that system is installed. The simpler knob-and-button setup is standard on the test car.
• Fuel efficiency: The GT test car returned 18.6 mpg, and the EPA estimate cited 15 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the open road. The EcoBoost is described as more efficient, with a reported 23.2 mpg in testing.

Which 2015 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 2 trim levels: EcoBoost and GT.

Here's the short version:

• EcoBoost: This is the value-oriented choice if you want Mustang style and a more affordable entry point. The data describes it as the budget-friendly way to get into the lineup, and it’s the better fit if you care more about everyday usability and lower running costs than V8 theatrics.
• GT: This is the enthusiast pick and the best-value trim if you want the Mustang experience at its most memorable. It brings the 5.0-liter V8, stronger performance, and the emotional appeal that defines this generation.

The safety content also notes that MyKey is standard, a reversing camera is standard, and blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert plus adaptive cruise control are available.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market, so you can shop selectively without expecting every listing to be a bargain.

• Deal availability: 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,585 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.70% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 55.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,603, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $19,759 sits slightly below last year's $20,306.

That softer pricing suggests the market has become a bit more favorable for buyers, which can also mean future sellers may need to price competitively to move a car quickly. If you buy well and keep the car in strong condition, you may be better positioned to preserve value when it’s time to sell.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang safe?

The 2015 Ford Mustang gets five-star ratings from NHTSA for nearly all assessments, including rollover resistance, and the IIHS rates it Good in the moderate overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

MyKey is standard, so you can set speed and audio limits for a teen driver and encourage seat-belt use. A reversing camera is also standard, while blind-spot information with cross-traffic alert and adaptive cruise control are available. The car’s Sync Bluetooth system includes 911 Assist, which can automatically alert emergency responders after a crash if a paired device is in the car.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 32.9% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 55% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.70% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 is a redesigned anniversary-year Mustang with a big step forward in dynamics and technology.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $15,670, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $19,759 average.
• It blends classic Mustang character with serious performance.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $18,578, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $19,759 average.
• It adds Sync 3 and fresh heritage-inspired updates.

The bottom line: If you want the redesigned anniversary-year Mustang with strong owner satisfaction and a broad used-car market, the 2015 is the primary pick. If price matters most, the 2014 is the cheaper route; if you want a slightly newer take with updated tech, the 2016 is worth a look.
