How much does the 2015 Ford Mustang cost?

Prices have softened 3.31% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 1,604 listings available, which suggests solid inventory for shoppers comparing prices and trims.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang a good car?

Yes — the 2015 Ford Mustang earns a 4.8/5 user rating and a 7.3/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel, Performance, and Safety.

Owners consistently praise the power, handling, classic design, comfort, and nostalgic feel. That lines up with the car’s role as a redesigned, more dynamic and more technologically capable sports coupe that still keeps its heritage appeal. If you want a performance car that blends emotional appeal with broader everyday usability, this year’s Mustang fits that brief well.

There are 29.3% good and great deals in the market, which gives you some room to shop selectively.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang reliable?

Owners rate it 4.8/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

Owner feedback points to a car that feels dependable and worth counting on, with praise centered on power, handling, and the overall ownership experience. The expert notes also describe the Mustang as historically slightly better than average in quality, dependability, and ownership costs, while acknowledging that the redesigned 2015 model is more technologically sophisticated than before.

The expert also notes that the Mustang’s ownership costs can be affected by insurance, and the redesign adds complexity that could influence long-term durability. For used buyers, that means condition and maintenance history matter more than mileage alone.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and confirm whether any prior damage was repaired properly. A pre-purchase inspection is especially important on a performance car like this, since condition can vary widely depending on how the car was driven and maintained. Pay close attention to signs of wear, missing equipment, and any quality issues that previous owners may have noted.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The cabin can feel sparse on lower-spec cars, and the test car was missing Ford’s MyFord Touch infotainment system.
• Powertrain: The lineup includes a 5.0-liter V8 in the GT and a turbocharged 2.3-liter EcoBoost four-cylinder; the V8 is the standout for sound and thrust, while the EcoBoost is the budget-friendly choice.
• Safety package: MyKey is standard, and the car also includes a standard reversing camera, with blind-spot information, cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control available.
• Infotainment: An 8-inch MyFord Touch touchscreen is optional, and once equipped, navigation and a premium audio system with HD Radio are available.
• Fuel efficiency: The GT test car returned 18.6 mpg in mixed driving, and the EPA said it should return 15 mpg in the city and 25 mpg on the open road.

Which 2015 Ford Mustang trim should I buy?

The 2015 Ford Mustang is offered in 2 trim levels: GT, EcoBoost.

Here's the short version:

• EcoBoost: This is the better-value choice if you want Mustang style and stronger efficiency without stepping up to the V8. The expert notes call it a terrific deal for an enthusiast who prefers going around corners to accelerating in a straight line.
• GT: This is the one to buy if you want the classic Mustang experience, especially the V8 sound, stronger straight-line performance, and the most emotional appeal.

The safety package includes MyKey, a standard reversing camera, and available blind-spot information, cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Ford Mustang?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop carefully and still find worthwhile listings.

• Deal availability: 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 1,604 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.31% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 56.0% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $18,603, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Ford Mustang's resale value?

The current average of $19,599 sits slightly below last year's $20,269.

That softer pricing suggests the market has cooled a bit, which can help you buy more selectively now. For a future seller, it also means resale value may depend heavily on condition, trim, and how well the car has been maintained.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 4.8/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Ford Mustang safe?

The 2015 Ford Mustang earns five-star ratings from NHTSA in nearly all assessments, including rollover resistance, and the IIHS rates it Good in the moderate overlap frontal-impact test.

It earns a 9/10 safety score from our experts.

MyKey is standard and lets you set limits on speed and stereo volume while encouraging seat belt use. A reversing camera is also standard, and blind-spot information, cross-traffic alert, and adaptive cruise control are available. The standard Sync Bluetooth system also includes 911 Assist, which can alert emergency responders after a crash if a paired device is in the car.

Should I buy a 2015 Ford Mustang or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 56% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 3.31% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 4.8/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 brings a redesigned, more dynamic and more technologically capable Mustang with anniversary-year appeal.

Consider the 2014 if:

• At $15,604, the 2014 costs less than the current year's $19,599 average.
• It feels like the most mature version of the classic Mustang, with especially strong straight-line performance.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $18,592, the 2016 costs less than the current year's $19,599 average.
• It adds fresh styling touches and Sync 3 for a more updated tech experience.

The bottom line: If you want the most significant redesign and the strongest blend of heritage and modern capability, the 2015 is the primary pick. If price matters most, the 2014 can save you money, while the 2016 is the better choice if you want newer tech and a few extra updates.
