Used 2015 Cadillac ATS for Sale near New York

How much does the 2015 Cadillac ATS cost?

Prices have softened 2.27% compared to this time last year, making it a favorable time to shop this model year.

There are 329 listings available, which gives you a modest amount of inventory to compare before you buy.

Is the 2015 Cadillac ATS a good car?

Yes — it earns a 5/5 user rating and a 5.67/10 expert rating. The model scores 9/10 across Look and feel and Performance.

The 2015 ATS is positioned as a compact luxury sedan that emphasizes sharper engineering, more polished materials, and a more engaging driving experience than a badge-first alternative. It is also framed as Cadillac’s effort to reinvent itself, which gives the car a stronger identity than a typical entry-luxury sedan.

25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals, so you have some room to shop selectively while still finding attractive examples.

Is the 2015 Cadillac ATS reliable?

Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.

The ATS is described as a car that can deliver impressive driving dynamics, but it also asks you to accept a premium-car ownership experience that is more complicated than it should be. The performance notes point to a refined automatic transmission and strong chassis behavior, while the cost-effectiveness commentary suggests the car’s value proposition is harder to justify than its driving talent.

Cadillac also notes that the ATS can be difficult to extract value from, and that makes condition and maintenance history especially important for used buyers. For long-term ownership, you should pay close attention to how well the car has been maintained and whether its equipment and packaging match your expectations.

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Cadillac ATS?

At 51.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.

You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if you are considering a higher-mileage or heavily optioned example. Focus on signs of prior bodywork, uneven panel fit, and any evidence that the car’s premium electronics or safety equipment have not been functioning properly.

Key things to evaluate:

• Trim level: The base Standard collection is the least equipped, while the Luxury collection adds more equipment and is the minimum needed for some safety content. The Performance and Premium collections bring more of the desirable features, including the safety items that are standard on those trims.
• Powertrain: You can choose between the base 4-cylinder, an optional turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder, and an available 3.6-liter V6. The turbocharged 4-cylinder is the efficiency-minded choice, while the V6 is described as the more refined engine.
• Safety package: Forward-collision warning is easy to get, but lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist require the Luxury collection plus the Safety and Security package. Blind-spot monitoring is offered only on the Performance and Premium collections, and then only bundled with other equipment.
• Infotainment: The CUE system is a major consideration, and the text describes it as frustrating to use. The content does not provide a screen size, wireless smartphone integration, or over-the-air update capability.
• Fuel efficiency: The turbocharged 4-cylinder is said to return 24 mpg in combined driving.

Which 2015 Cadillac ATS trim should I buy?

The 2015 Cadillac ATS is offered in 4 trim levels: Standard collection, Luxury collection, Performance collection, Premium collection.

Here's the short version:

• Standard collection: This is the entry point, but the content makes clear that you will need to spend more to get the ATS into its best form. It is the least expensive way in, but it is not the best value if you want the car’s stronger equipment and safety content.
• Luxury collection: This is the trim to consider if you want the minimum setup needed for some of the ATS’s more useful safety features. It is the logical step up if you want a better-balanced ownership experience without jumping all the way to the top.
• Performance collection: This trim is the best-value choice if you want the ATS’s more complete safety package and a stronger equipment mix. It also unlocks blind-spot monitoring, which is a meaningful upgrade for everyday use.
• Premium collection: This is the most fully equipped version and the one to choose if you want the richest feature set, including the safety content that comes standard on the upper trims. It is the right pick if you want the most complete ATS experience.

The safety package is not fully available on the base trim, so you should pay close attention to how each collection is equipped before you decide.

Is now a good time to buy a used 2015 Cadillac ATS?

This is a moderate market for selective buyers, so you can shop with some leverage if you are patient.

• Deal availability: 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• Inventory: There are 329 listings available.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.27% compared with last year.
• Clean inventory: 51.7% of listings are accident-free.

If you find a listing below $10,688, that's toward the low end of the year-round range and worth acting on quickly.

What is the 2015 Cadillac ATS's resale value?

The current average of $10,747 sits slightly below last year's $10,997.

That price movement suggests the ATS has softened a bit, which can make it easier for you to buy now but may also limit upside if you plan to resell soon. For a future seller, that means condition, mileage, and equipment will matter even more when it comes time to attract buyers.

Because the ATS is still positioned as a premium compact sedan, well-kept examples should remain more appealing than neglected ones. If you buy carefully and maintain the car well, you can help protect its value better than the average listing.

Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.

Is the 2015 Cadillac ATS safe?

The 2015 Cadillac ATS earns 5-star ratings in every assessment the NHTSA conducts on new cars, including rollover resistance.

It earns a 5/10 safety score from our experts.

Cadillac says forward-collision warning is easy to get, but lane-departure warning and lane-keeping assist require the Luxury collection plus the Safety and Security package. Blind-spot monitoring is reserved for the Performance and Premium collections, and it is bundled with other equipment rather than offered as a standalone feature.

One caveat is that the IIHS had not published crash-test results at the time of the review, so the safety picture is not as complete as it could be from that source.

Should I buy a 2015 Cadillac ATS or consider a different year?

If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:

Choose the 2015 if:

• 25.5% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
• At 51.7% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
• Price trend: Prices have softened 2.27% compared with last year.
• Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
• The 2015 ATS is a sharp-handling compact luxury sedan that reflects Cadillac’s push to sharpen its engineering and design.

Consider the 2016 if:

• At $11,607, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $10,747 average.
• It adds Apple CarPlay for a more modern infotainment setup.

The bottom line: If you want the lower entry price and are comfortable shopping carefully, the 2015 is the better value play. If you want a newer ATS with a more modern tech setup and can stretch your budget, the 2016 is the smarter upgrade path.
