CarGurus Analysis: 2015 Acura TLX
overall

Summary
With 483 currently listed for sale and an average price of $13,585, 32.5% of 2015 Acura TLX listings on CarGurus are rated as good or great deals.
Favorably reviewed: Owners rated the 2015 Acura TLX 4.73 / 5 stars and CarGurus experts gave it a 7.5 / 10.
51.1% of 2015 Acura TLX listings on CarGurus are accident free.
Why it stands out
The 2015 Acura TLX is a likable near-luxury sedan that stands out for blending rewarding driving dynamics with a long list of modern entertainment and safety technologies. Acura positions it as a more affordable alternative to pricier premium sedans, which makes its value proposition especially appealing for buyers who want a premium feel without the same price point. Its character is also a little unusual: it can feel calm and polished in everyday driving, yet it becomes much more eager when asked to perform.
That appeal is balanced by a few shortcomings. The car is not perfect, and some drivers have noted issues with acceleration as well as a few missing modern amenities that they expected in a luxury vehicle. Even so, the 2015 Acura TLX remains distinctive for offering comfort, technology, and a more engaging driving experience in a package that feels accessible rather than overly expensive.

I just bought a 2015 TLX V6 SH-AWD W/Technology package and it has all the features and power but I personally liked the TLX 4 cylinder model better, its a bit smaller and way better on gas mileage and its a bit funner to drive. But they are both really great cars especially for the price!

What should I look for when buying a used 2015 Acura TLX?
At 51.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should start with a vehicle history report and then prioritize a pre-purchase inspection, especially if the car has been in any collision. Focus on bodywork quality, panel alignment, and how the car drives under light and hard acceleration. It also helps to compare maintenance records and confirm that the features you want are actually present on the specific car you’re considering.
Key things to evaluate:

The Technology Package adds softer perforated leather, navigation, premium audio, AcuraLink services, rain-sensing wipers, lane-departure warning, lane-keeping assist, blind-spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and forward-collision warning. The Advance Package adds front and rear parking sensors, remote engine start, LED puddle and fog lights, auto-dimming side mirrors, adaptive cruise control, road-departure mitigation, and forward-collision mitigation with automatic emergency braking. The Technology Package is the best-value upgrade if you want the biggest jump in everyday convenience and safety tech.
- Powertrain: You can choose a 2.4-liter 4-cylinder or a 3.5-liter V6, with front-wheel or all-wheel drive depending on configuration. The 2.4-liter engine is described as refined, linear, and satisfying, while the V6 is the stronger choice if you want quicker acceleration.

The Advance Package adds road-departure and collision-mitigation braking technology, plus adaptive cruise control and automatic emergency braking capability.

The Technology Package adds navigation with real-time traffic reports, next-generation AcuraLink services, HD Radio, and a premium sound system.
- Fuel efficiency: The 2.4-liter model is estimated at 28 mpg combined, and the test car returned that figure over a week of driving.

Should I buy a 2015 Acura TLX or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2015 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2015 if:
- 29.3% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 51.1% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 2.44% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 4.7/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
- The 2015 stands out for rewarding driving dynamics and a strong mix of entertainment and safety technology.
Consider the 2016 if:
- At $14,654, the 2016 costs more than the current year's $13,540 average.
- It leans more clearly into a performance-luxury identity and a renewed brand direction.
The bottom line: If you want the better value play, the 2015 is the stronger starting point because it combines a lower average price with solid satisfaction and a broad feature set. If you’re willing to spend more for the next model year’s repositioning, the 2016 may appeal, but price-sensitive buyers should focus on the 2015.
